    • PURPOSE: A light signal processing device is provided to seclude degradation of whole data providing quality according to mutual interference of unnecessary UL/DL optical signals. CONSTITUTION: An OLT(Optical Line Terminal)(140) transmits a multiplexed DL(DownLink) optical signal to an ONU(Optical Network Unit) or a WDM(Wavelength Division Multiplexing) data repeater(130). The OLT transmits demultiplexed UL(UpLink) optical signal to a signal converter(104). An optical signal repeater(120) transmits a demultiplexed DL optical signal to the ONY or the WDM data repeater. The light signal repeater transmits a multiplexed UL optical signal to the OLT.

    • An apparatus for transferring optical data through time synchronization in an optical switching system is provided to reduce a data blocking ratio by synchronizing all optical data with each other before the data is inputted to a switching unit. A time synchronizers(100a-100n) are arranged on respective input ports and dynamically synchronize all optical data with each other before the optical data are inputted to a demultiplexer. A time measuring unit(500) is connected between a switching unit and a multiplexer and measures output timing of all optical data from the switching unit. A buffer unit(700) is connected between input/output ports of the switching unit and receives and temporally stores the optical data in a buffer, when a collision occurs between the optical data. The buffer unit outputs the stored optical data to corresponding output ports. A controller(600) acknowledges the collision based on the information from the buffer unit and controls the switching unit. The controller receives output time information from the time measuring unit and compares the received information with switching reference timing to detect time synchronization. The controller controls the output timing of the optical data from the buffer unit based on the detected result.
