The optical element includes first and second optical input sections and the first plurality of optical output associated with the switching units and said optical port array having a second plurality of optical output units associated with the channel monitoring for receiving the optical beam . Dispersion element receiving the optical beam from the input, and spatially separate the optical beam into a plurality of wavelength components. Focusing element focuses the plurality of wavelength components. Optical path conversion system includes receiving the plurality of wavelength components, and directs each of said wavelength selective element as defined in one of the optical ports. Photo-sensing portions are each associated with one of the optical output portions in the second plurality of optical output portions, accommodates the wavelength components from them. The control unit is the optical path conversion system facing one another at the same time of the optical output ends of each of the plurality of wavelength components and the second plurality of optical output sections.
