    • PURPOSE: A system and a method for measuring ocean waves are provided to detect the invasion of enemies by detecting the movement of mobile elements based on the measured change of the ocean waves. CONSTITUTION: An ocean wave measuring system(100) includes a pulse source(110), a coupler(120), and a detecting part(130). The pulse source periodically supplies light of wavelengths, which are lower than or equal to a pre-set value, to optical fiber. The coupler connects a plurality of stands of the optical fiber. The coupler includes a sensor. The sensor measures incident light to the optical fiber and reflected light from the optical fiber. The detecting part detects the change of signals according to the change of refractive index from signals which are measured by the coupler and displays the result with time series data or frequency data. The optical fiber in the form of a grid is installed at the bottom of the ocean.
