    • PURPOSE: A compound for the preparation of a metallocene catalyst, a metallocene catalyst, its preparation method, a preparation method of a polyolefin copolymer using the catalyst and a preparation method of a cyclic olefin copolymer using the catalyst are provided, to reduce the steric hindrance of a metallocene catalyst, thereby improving the efficiency of the catalyst in the copolymerization of a large monomer. CONSTITUTION: The compound for the preparation of a metallocene catalyst is represented by the formula 5 and the metallocene catalyst is represented by the formula 1, wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 are independently H, an alkyl, alkenyl, alkylaryl or arylalkyl group of C1-C20, an aryl group, an alkyl or aryl group of C1-C20 containing an oxygen or nitrogen atom, or a hydrocarbyl-substituted metalloid radical of group 14, and R3 and R4 can be connected by an alkylidene radical containing an alkyl or aryl radical to form a ring; A is cyclopentadienyl group or its derivative, a fluorenyl group or its derivative, an indenyl group or its derivative, a substituted or unsubstituted amido group or a substituted or unsubstituted phosphino group; and Q1 and Q2 are independently a halogen atom, an alkyl, alkenyl, alkylaryl or arylalkyl group of C1-C20, an aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkylidene group of C1-C20, a substituted or unsubstituted amido group, an alkylalkoxy group of C1-C20 or an arylalkoxy group. The metallocene catalyst of the formula 1 is prepared by reacting the compound of the formula 5 with the compound represented by M(Q1)(Q2), wherein M is a transition metal of group 4.
