    • Disclosed is a method for producing a norbornene derivative, wherein a norbornadiene derivative represented by the general formula (3) below is reacted with a bromine compound represented by the general formula below in the presence of palladium and at least one compound selected from the phosphorus compounds represented by the general formulae (1) and (2) below, thereby producing a norbornene derivative represented by the general formula (5) below wherein a substituent represented by Z is in the exo configuration.
