    • PURPOSE: A side airbag module for vehicles is provided to minimize injuries of passengers by dispersing a load applied to a chest part of the passenger to a shoulder part when an airbag cushion caused by the collision of the vehicle is spread. CONSTITUTION: A side airbag module for vehicles comprises an airbag cushion (100) and an inflator (110). The inflator supplies gas to the airbag cushion and spreads the airbag cushion. The airbag cushion includes a first area (101) and a second area (102). The first area protects a shoulder part of the passengers. The first area adds pressure to the shoulder part of the passenger to an inner side of the vehicle when the airbag cushion is spread by the operation of the inflator. The first area disperses a load applied to a chest part of the passenger from the second area to the shoulder part of the passenger. The second area protects the chest part of the passenger.
