    • Portable x-ray devices and methods for using such devices are described. The devices have an x-ray tube (30) powered by an integrated power system (40). The x-ray tube is shielded with a low-density insulating material (80) containing a high-Z substance. The devices can also have an integrated display component (70). With these components, the size and weight of the x-ray devices can be reduced, and the portability of the devices enhanced. Thus, the portable x-ray devices are especially useful for applications where portability is an important feature such as in field work, remote operations, and mobile operations such as nursing homes, home healthcare and teaching classrooms. This portability feature can be particularly useful in multi-suite medical and dental offices where a single x-ray device can be used in multiple offices instead of single using an x-ray device in each office.

    • There are provided a gamma ray detecting apparatus, including: a secondary electron emitter causing a Compton scattering reaction with an incident gamma ray to emit secondary electrons in a progress direction of the gamma ray; a first radiation detector provided to be opposed to the secondary electron emitter with respect to an emission progress direction of the secondary electrons and detecting the position and transfer energy of the secondary electron; a second radiation detector provided to be opposed to the first radiation detector with respect to the emission progress direction of the secondary electron and detecting the position and the transfer energy of the secondary electron passing through the first radiation detector; a third radiation detector provided to be opposed to the second radiation detector with respect to the emission progress direction of the secondary electron and detecting residual energy of the secondary electron by absorbing the secondary electron passing through the second radiation detector; and a data processor having a coincidence circuit judging whether the secondary electrons simultaneously react in the first to third radiation detectors, and the data processor back traces trajectories of the secondary electrons detected by the first and second radiation detectors to detect the position of a ray source of the gamma ray, and a gamma ray detecting method.

    • An integrated pet/ct system is provided to obtain CT image and PET image of the high definition having useful field of view(UFOV) by equipping flat-panel X-ray of a reduced/expanded size or a changed shape. A gantry(60) has space which a palette(72) for a patient passes through and a detector, a X-ray generator(100) and the other drive unit are mounted in the gantry. An integrated PET / CT detector module(50) and one or more X-ray generators, and a signal detection and processing unit and a display device are comprised. The gantry and the palette for patient are relatively transferred. The PET / CT detector module comprises a plurality of PET detectors, and a flat board X-ray detector(10), and a readout driving part(11).
