    • PURPOSE: A catheter having an electrode strip and a medical treatment apparatus using the same are provided to attach an electrode array easily and economically to a probe without forming plural bores on the probe or using a wire between the electrodes. CONSTITUTION: A medical treatment apparatus for diagnosing a body cavity of a mammalian subject includes a long probe and an electrode strip(60). The long probe includes an outer surface and a distal portion, which is adapted for insertion into the body cavity. The electrode strip includes a long insulating substrate(64), a plurality of electrodes(62), and a conductive material(50). The long insulating substrate includes distal and proximal ends and is wrapped around the distal portion of the probe so as to define a helix having a length between the ends. The electrodes are arranged along length of the helix and fixed on the substrate. The conductive material is coupled with the electrodes from a proximal portion to the distal portion of the probe to communicate with a circuit.

    • The present invention relates to a nested-type bipolar electrode for high-frequency thermotherapy, and is characterized by being provided with; a cylindrical body (11); and an active electrode body (13) that is wound for plurality of times from the front end part of outer periphery face of the body (11) toward the rear end side and connected to one side terminal of a high-frequency generator; and a passive electrode body (15) that is wound for plurality of times from the front end part of outer periphery face of the body (11) toward the rear end side between the active electrode bodies (13) and connected to the other side terminal of the high-frequency generator.
