A surface light source device comprises a light source body(110) containing a discharge space(140) into which the discharge gas is injected; a plurality of surface light source modules having an electrode(150) which applies a discharge voltage to the discharge gas; a light guide member guiding the light, which is emitted from the plural surface light source modules to downwards, to the border area between the surface light source modules. The light guide member is mounted at the bottom side of surface light source modules.

    • A tile type surface light source device and a back light unit having the same are provided to combine with the conventional surface light source member without changing the structure of the surface light source member. Unit surface light source devices(200a,200b,200c) include plural discharge channels(220). The discharge channel is partitioned by a partition member(230). Electrodes(240) are formed at both ends of the discharge channel. The discharge gas is injected and sealed within the discharge channel and a fluorescent layer is formed at the inner surface of the discharge channel. The unit surface light source devices are combined so that the discharge space is included by the upper and lower substrates. In that case, the partition member is integrally formed to the upper or lower substrate. The surface light source devices are supported by a frame(210). A light path change member is arranged at the combining portion of the tile type surface light source device.

    • PURPOSE: A filter is provided to achieve improved color correction performance and allow for ease of manufacture by containing the neodymium compound into the substrate serving as a filter support. CONSTITUTION: A filter comprises a substrate and a filter member, wherein the substrate is made of a phosphorus-neodymium containing resin, or a resin obtained by adding a neodymium organic metal complex compound to a transparent resin and hardening the resultant structure. The phosphorus-neodymium containing resin is manufactured by adding a neodymium compound to the molten phosphorus group containing copolymer resin, adding a neodymium compound to the copolymer resin molten by a solvent and removing the solvent from the resultant structure, or polymerizing the phosphorus group-neodymium containing monomer composition which is obtained by adding a neodymium compound to the phosphorus group containing monomer.
