    • PURPOSE: A learning driving method of an automatic transmission vehicle is provided to repeat learning driving without removing learning information, and to improve the shift quality by releasing the 3-speed hold without resetting the battery at the failure during learning driving. CONSTITUTION: Driving learning information is stored in a RAM(Random Access Memory), and friction mechanisms of an automatic transmission are held at the 3-speed range in detecting failure from difference between driving condition and information stored in the RAM. The cause of the failure is removed in stopping the vehicle, and the three-speed hold is released according to the three-sped hold release signal. The input signal is applied to the transmission control unit by operating the switch, and friction mechanisms are released with the transmission control unit. Learning driving is performed repeatedly without removing learning information.
