摘要： PURPOSE:To interrupt a defective current within one cycle by connecting a semiconductor element with a controllable electrode in anti-parallel with a GTO thyristor in an AC-DC forward/reverse converter, and turning OFF the element when the AC side is an overcurrent. CONSTITUTION:Arms in which GTO thyristors 2a-2f and semiconductor elements 8a-8f with controllable electrodes are connected in anti-parallel are connected in a bridge to form an AC/DC forward/reverse conversion rectifier. The thyristors are controlled in phase angle in the normal state, wide gate pulses are applied to the elements 8a-8f to operate the same as diodes, but when overcurrents are detected by current transformers 7a, 7b provided at the AC power source side, the gate pulses of the elements 8a-8f are locked.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the economical constitution by suppressing the increases in rated voltage and current capacities of a thyristor arm at the minimum, by controlling a bypass current to flow to the thyristor arm with wht lowest rated voltage. CONSTITUTION:Thyristor bridge circuit 12 should be controlled in variably at minimum control advance angle beta0 to attain power inversion. Thyristor arms 8 and 8', and 9 and 9' are ignited at minimum control advance angle beta0 and arms 10 and 10' are ignited at variable control advance angle beta1; and then, when the DC voltage of bridge circuit 7 is controlled from 4E1 to 3E1, arem 8 and 8', and 9 and 9' should resist voltage 4E1 and, on the other hand, arms 10 and 10', and 11 and 11'should resist only 3E1 and 2E1 respectively. In this way mentioned above, the rated voltage of arms 11 and 11' connected to center tap 5 equivalent to half the whole voltage is the smallest and since bypassing in done by those arms, half the rated voltage of arms connected to terminals 3 and 4 is required, so that the economical device can be realized.

摘要： PURPOSE:To unnecessitate a special power supply for precharge and enable the precharge to be performed under a simple control by enabling a voltage type inverter to be driven and controlled in a charge mode and in synchronism with a system power supply and by performing a charge by an inverter after the precharge is conducted via the diode of the inverter. CONSTITUTION:A gate control circuit 17 is let synchronize with a system power supply 2, a voltage type inverter 11 is let stand by so as to be operable in a charge mode, a switch (SW) 15 is opened and switches SW 16a-16c are closed. Then, the current of the system power supply 2 is three-phase full wave rectified by diodes 13a-13f to be supplied to a battery 3 via a current limiting resistor 14, being precharged. Then the switch SW 15 is closed after a precharge is completed and a gate control current is supplied from the gate control circuit 17 that has stood by to gate turn off thyristors 12a-12f. Thus charge is performed via the switch SW 10, translating from the precharge by a rectified output to the charge by the voltage type inverter 11.

摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of a power source by recovering and accumulating energy stored during the operation in a current limiting reactor inserted into a DC circuit in a storage capacitor, and using it for a control power source of a power converter. CONSTITUTION:When a motor side converter 5 is operated, energy is stored in a current limiting reactor 4. When a GTO thyristor of a main switching element is interrupted, the energy stored in the reactor 4 is recovered and stored through a diode 21 in a storage capacitor 22. The both terminals of the capacitor 22 are connected to the input sides of a DC/DC converter 28. The converter 28 suitably converts the energy stored in the capacitor 22 and applies it to a power converter controller 9.
