    • PURPOSE: To transmit torque to a case from a driving disc in an optimal condition in response to various driving conditions by preventing an attendingly rotating phenomenon. CONSTITUTION: In a liquid clutch where a torque transmitting chamber 5 and an oil reserving chamber 6 are arranged in a case 3 in which a driving disc 4 rotated by a driving part 1 is housed and which freely rotates with a rotary shaft 2 as the center and driving torque of the driving disc 4 is transmitted to the case 3 by oil supplied to the torque transmitting chamber 5 from the oil reserving chamber 6, the liquid clutch is constituted in such a way that the oil of the torque transmitting chamber 5 is sucked by a vane pump mechanism to rotate by a difference between rotating speed of a rotary shaft 2 and rotating speed of the case 3, and is pressurized, and is sent into the oil reserving chamber 6, and is provided with a valve member 11 to open and close a supply hole 14 to flow the oil of the oil reserving chamber 6 in the torque transmitting chamber 5 and a solenoid type actuator 12 to actuate the valve member 11. Therefore, a noise of a cooling fan for an automobile is reduced, and fuel consumption is improved, and accelerating performance is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To make a drive coupling device for four-wheel drive, miniature and lightweight, by controlling the discharged pressure of a hydraulic pump which is adapted to be driven due to the difference in rotational speed between the front wheel drive shaft and the rear wheel drive shaft, such that the drive mode is changed over between four and two wheel drive modes, and the drive power for the front and rear drive shafts are well-distributed. CONSTITUTION:A rotary shaft 11 in a differential gear unit 10 for front wheels 9 is coupled with a rotary shaft 14 in a differential gear unit 17 for rear wheels 16. This hydraulic pump 13 is driven due to the difference in speed between both rotary shafts 11, 14 and therefore, discharges oil in an amount in accordance with the speed difference. Further, the rotary shaft 14 for the rear wheel side is coupled to the output shaft 3 of an engine 1 through gears 4, 5. Further, the discharge pressure of the hydraulic pump 13 is controlled to change over the mode of drive between four and two wheel drive modes, and as well the drive power is controlled to be well-distributed to the front and rear wheels.
