    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working device with a cutting tool capable of suppressing the thermal expansion of a chuck table without causing tearing at a turning surface of a material to be worked and preventing the adhesion of cutting chips to the material to be worked.SOLUTION: The working device with the cutting tool includes: the chuck table 52 with a holding surface for holding the material to be worked; a turning means with the cutting tool 33 for cutting the material to be worked held at the chuck table 52; and a cooling water supply means 6 with a jet nozzle 61 for jetting cooling water to the turning surface of the material to be worked held at the chuck table 52 moving in a working area where the material to be worked is cut by a turning means. The jet nozzle 61 jets the cooling water from the rotational-direction upstream side of the cutting tool 33 to the rotational-direction downstream side thereof in the working area.

      SOLUTION: This machining device 1 has: a cutting tool 9; a cutting line forming means 7 for forming cutting lines by moving relative to a workpiece 101 in the direction 1 while imparting a predetermined depth of cut thereto; and a cutting tool feed means 7 for feeding the position of the cutting tool 9 relative to the work 101 by a predetermined feed amount in the direction orthogonal to the direction 1. The machining device further has a cutting depth setting means for forming the cutting lines on the surface of the workpiece 101 along the orthogonal direction and setting the cutting depth so that the cutting depth is nonuniform between the cutting lines.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a spring tool type cutting tool which can suppress any vibration owing to a cutting reaction force and prevent the occurrence of cut- through and bite even when a surface to be machined contains the down-gradient and the middle high/middle low curved surface of a work. CONSTITUTION:The attachment end 23 of a shank 22 attached to the rotary main spindle 18 of a machine is provided and a through-slit 28 is formed in the given portion, above a cutting tool fixing surface 26, of the lower end of a lower cutting tool holding part 24. A resilient deformation fulcrum 28a is positioned on the front end side of the slit and the thin section part 29 of the shank 22 is formed on the rear end side thereof. A spring expandable contractible resilient support part is formed by using the thin section part. In a so formed cutting tool, even when the vector of a cutting reaction force is exerted on the front, the rear, and the vicinity area of the resilient deformation fulcrum 28a, the generation of vibration in the area below the cutting tool holding part 24 is suppressed, and biting and cut-through are prevented.
