    • PURPOSE: To inexpensively and efficiently produce a U-type bend pipe with a comparatively large curvature without flat part, wrinkle, etc., by inserting a metal slender bar closely into the inside of a tube, bending the tube to the U-type by using press and bending die, and after that, pulling out the metal slender bar from the tube. CONSTITUTION: A tube 1 with proper length is formed by cutting a steel pipe. On the other hand, a metal slender bar 2 with proper length is formed by cutting a copper-plated annealing wire in length slightly longer than the dimension of the tube 1. And, the metal slender bar 2 is closely inserted into the inside of the tube 1 with a manual operation. Successively, the tube 1 is pushed and bent by placing the tube 1 with the metal slender bar 2 inserted on the guide grooves of a pair of rollers 5 and 5, and lowering and operating a die 6 fixed on the output end 3a of a press 3. After this, the metal slender bar 2 is pulled out from the tube 1 by using a proper tool. For the U-type tube 1 obtained in this way, an unnecessary length part is cut, successively, each end face is properly chamfered, and the tube 1 is made a U-type bend pipe.

    • PURPOSE:To execute bending by a simple equipment even with respect to a metallic tube whose wall thickness is thick or whose outside diameter is large by performing the bending in a state that the outside surface part and the inside surface part of the wall thickness part of a bending part of the metallic tube hold rigidity and the inside of the wall thickness part is plastic at a high temperature. CONSTITUTION:In a state that a core 20 is inserted into a hollow part of a metallic tube 10, the metallic tube 10 is allowed to pass through a high frequency heating furnace 40 and a jig 30 and fed in the direction P. The high frequency heating device 40 executes high frequency heating until the inside 13 of a wall thickness part of the metallic tube 10 which is allowed to pass through its device is plasticized, and it is set so as to execute such heating as the inside surface part 11 and the outside surface part 12 of the wall thickness part of the metallic tube 10 can hold its rigidity. The part of the metallic tube 10 which passes through the high frequency heating device 40 is allowed to pass through the jig 30, and bent to a desired curvature by applying suitable bending stress by its jig 30 in a state that the outside surface part 12 and the inside surface part 11 of the wall thickness part hold rigidity as a metal, and the inside 13 of the wall thickness part is plastic at a high temperature. Thereafter, the metallic tube 10 is cooled and the inside 13 of the wall thickness part is returned to a rigid body, and bending is completed.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the thickness increase on the bend inner peripheral side and to obtain the bend pipe with uniform thickness by cutting the pipe wall of the bend inner peripheral side at the part where a bend deformation is caused or at the position before that. CONSTITUTION:The pipe 3 to be bent is held by a tail stock and whirling arm and heated in annular shape of narrow width zone by an inductor 22 from the pipe inner face. When the tail stock is advanced in this state, the annular heating part is moved in the longitudinal direction of the pipe and simultaneously a bend moment is applied on the pipe 3 by the whirling arm and bend deformation is performed from the annular heating part. The continuous bending is performed by rapidly cooling with the cooling water from a cooling device 35 immediately thereafter. In this case, the pipe 3 has the tendency to become flat at the bend deforming time, but due to the 1st and 2nd mandrels 20, 21 being arranged inside the pipe, the flattening of the pipe cross section is prevented and yet the thickness increasing part due to the bend is bulged to the outer face side of the pipe at the bend inner peripheral side. This bulging part is cut and removed by the cutter 31 which is driven with turning by a motor 33. In this way the bend pipe having the pipe wall in comparatively uniform thickness is obtd.
