    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking lock device, which has a simple structure and allows manual operation to release locking of a parking gear easily.SOLUTION: A manual releasing mechanism part 5 includes a guide pin 51 and a rotating drum 52. When an actuator becomes inoperable in a lock state in which a parking lock pole 22 is engaged with a parking gear 21, the rotating drum 52 is rotated by manual operation. A front end of a guide pin 51 is thrust in a helical rotation groove 52f from a linear groove 52e formed on an outer periphery surface of the rotating drum 52, and thereby the front end of a guide pin 51 is moved. Accordingly, a detent plate 42 is moved such that a parking rod 44 stops pressing the parking lock pole 22. Thus, the parking lock pole 22 is loosed from the parking gear 21, and the locked parking gear 21 is released.

The operation pattern prescribed as the cipher code is constituted by combination of operation not carried out by operation of the operation input part 10 in ordinal traveling, and the accidental release of the parking position can be prevented.
