    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lock the rotation of a gear to both forward rotation and reverse rotation, and to easily release the lock.SOLUTION: This gear rotation lock mechanism comprises: a first insertion member 31 which is inserted into a tooth groove 25m of the gear 25, and presses the tooth face 25e of a tooth 25z; a second insertion member 32 which is inserted into another tooth groove 25m, and presses the tooth face 25e of another tooth 25z; and an actuator which is configured such that the first insertion member 31 and the second insertion member 32 are inserted into the corresponding tooth grooves 25m or can be pulled out of the tooth grooves 25m, the forward rotation is prohibited while the first insertion member 31 presses the tooth face 25e of the tooth 25z, and the reverse rotation is prohibited while the second insertion member 32 presses the tooth face 25e of another tooth 25z.
