摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the deterioration of controllability due to mutual interference of performance parameters and properly control engine performance.SOLUTION: A performance parameter calculator 31 sets target values of a plurality of performance parameters based on engine operating condition. A target fuel consumption operation unit 40 operates the target value of fuel consumption in a direction where performance is improved based on the change quantity of an emission discharge quantity with the real values of respective performance parameters controlled to the target values. The target fuel consumption operation unit 40 has a performance parameter change quantity calculator 43 calculating the change quantities of the respective performance parameters based on the movable ranges of combustion parameters using the correlation data defining the correlation of the plurality of performance parameters and the plurality of the combustion parameters and a fuel consumption operation quantity set section 44 setting the change quantity of the fuel consumption as a fuel consumption quantity in the case the change quantity of the emission discharge quantity is within a predetermined allowable range. A combustion parameter calculator 32 calculates the target values of the plurality of combustion parameters based on the target values of the respective performance parameters.

摘要： To obtain an air-fuel ration control apparatus for an internal combustion engine capable of maintaining an NOx purification rate at a high level when a catalyst is in a deteriorated condition. The air-fuel ratio control apparatus includes: an oxygen concentration sensor for detecting an oxygen concentration at a position upstream of a catalyst; an oxygen concentration sensor for detecting an oxygen concentration at a position downstream of the catalyst; an injector drive unit for adjusting an amount of a fuel supplied to an internal combustion engine; a first air-fuel ratio control unit for controlling the injector drive unit such that the air fuel ratio at the position upstream of the catalyst matches a first target air-fuel ratio; a second air-fuel ratio control unit for setting the first target ratio such that the air fuel ratio at the position downstream of the catalyst matches a second target air-fuel ratio; and a target air-fuel ratio setting unit for setting the second target air-fuel ratio. The target air-fuel ratio setting unit sets the second target air-fuel ratio at a value on a rich side of a stoichiometric air-fuel ratio such that an NOx purification rate is a maximum in view of NOx purification rate characteristics when the catalyst is in a deteriorated condition.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device for an internal combustion engine allowing effective purification of harmful components including unburnt components and nitrogen oxide even in a sudden change in the air-fuel ratio of the engine. SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device sets a fist catalyst target oxygen storage amount to be a half of the maximum oxygen storage amount of a first catalyst 53 when the calculated oxygen storage amount of a second catalyst 54 is within a preset range including the half of the maximum oxygen storage amount of the second catalyst 54, changes the first catalyst oxygen storage amount to be a preset amount smaller than the half of the maximum oxygen storage amount of the first catalyst 53 when the oxygen storage amount of the second catalyst 54 exceeds the preset range, and changes the first catalyst target oxygen storage amount to be a preset amount larger than the half of the maximum oxygen storage amount of the first catalyst 53 when the oxygen storage amount of the second catalyst 54 is smaller than the preset range. The air-fuel ratio of the engine is controlled so that the calculated oxygen storage amount of the first catalyst 53 sequentially corresponds to the first catalyst target oxygen storage amount.
