    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pumping mechanism capable of saving energy greatly and being easily operated without consuming enormous amount of operation power and to provide a sea bottom resource recovering apparatus capable of recovering mineral resources from the deep sea bottom with high efficiency and achieving high productivity of mining by using the pumping mechanism. SOLUTION: This pumping mechanism is constituted by letting a bottomed vessel body 2 having a bottom face 2a and a side face 2b surrounding the bottom face float on a surface of the sea water surface and connecting a pumping pipe 4 with a pumping port 3 provided on the bottom face or side face of the bottomed vessel body to pump the mineral resources M from the sea bottom Wb through the pumping pipe together with sea water. In this pumping mechanism, the pumping port 3 in the bottomed vessel body is provided at a position being on a sea bottom Wb side more than the surface Ws of the sea water. The ship has a carriage 10 running on a horizontal track at the top of the walls of the hold and driven therealong by motor driven pinions 10a engaging racks 9. The carriage 10 has a turntable 13 mounting a transfer belt conveyer 12 adjustable heightwise by an expansion mechanism 30. The transfer conveyer 12 leads to a main belt conveyer 17 which can have its inclination varied by an expansion arm 15 acting on its base 16 which is pivoted to the turntable at 14. The bottom of the base 16 has a fixed arm 18 to which the base 20 of an auxiliary conveyer 21 is pivoted at 28 and is adjustable by an expansion arm 19. By adjusting the turntable 13 and the inclination of the belts 17, 21 any paint in the hold can be reached by the end of the conveyer 21. In loading the ship the ramp 8a of the conveyer 8 rises above the conveyer 12 to allow the bags to drop thereon while similarly the conveyer 12 is above the end of the conveyer 17. For unloading these relative elevations are reversed.

    • PURPOSE:To efficiently unload a bulk cargo, by providing a horizontal screw conveyer in a goove formed across the entire width of a hold, near a bulkhead of a ship's bottom, and connecting a vertical conveyer leading to an upper deck with a discharge conveyer leading to a broadside. CONSTITUTION:There is provided a groove 8 near a bulkhead 5 of a ship's bottom 4 over the width of a hold 3, and is arranged in the groove 8 a screw conveyer 9 having a lead angle oppositely directed from its central portion. A vertical conveyer 12 leading to an upper deck 7 is vertically arranged at the central portion of the screw conveyer 9, and a discharge conveyer 13 leading to a broadside is connected through a shoot 12a to the vertical conveyer 12. Thus, a bulk cargo in the hold may be continuously and efficiently unloaded.
