    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and the like for manufacturing a frame excellent in designability and capable of securing high jointing strength.
      SOLUTION: In this method for manufacturing the frame body, the plurality of frame materials provided in a boundary between indoor and outdoor sides and made of the thermoplastic resin are framed in a rectangular shape by being welded in such a manner that mutually different ends of the frame materials butt against each other. An outer peripheral portion of the frame body comprises an exposed surface which is exposed to an indoor or outdoor side, and an unexposed surface which is not exposed to the indoor and outdoor sides. When the ends of the frame materials butt against one another after the ends are mutually heated and melted, a metal mold is brought to contact the exposed surface, and the melted portion is guided to the backside of the exposed surface, so as to join the ends of the frame materials without having the metal mold abutted on the unexposed surface nor guiding the melted portion.
