    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold manufacturing method capable of manufacturing a mold which can mold a diffraction lens array of high precision. SOLUTION: The mold manufacturing method has a shape coordinates forming step (S102) for forming the coordinates of a shape point, which shows the shape of a recessed part 21 having a saw tooth shape formed to its surface, to an object 20 to be processed, a moving coordinates deriving step (step S106) for moving the coordinates of the shape point to the position where the recessed part 21 of the object 20 to be processed is formed to lead out the coordinates of a moving point and a track deriving step (S108) for deriving the track which forms the recessed part 21 on the basis of the moving point. The recessed part 21, where the center of rotation of the object 20 to be machined and the center of the recessed part 21 become non-coincident by moving a cutting tool 103 on the basis of the track while rotating the object 20 to be processed, to manufacture the mold 20a.
