    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller leveler and straightening method for a metal plate, capable of fully straightening even a metal plate that is thin and has high yield stress.SOLUTION: A roller leveler 100 which straightens a metal plate P that has been cut out includes a plurality of leveling rollers 6 and 8 which rotate to cause the metal plate to be passed while sandwiching the metal plate P for rolling, a hydraulic press cylinder 4 which rolls the metal plate P by way of the leveling rollers 6 and 8, a drive device 15 which rotates the leveling roller to cause the metal plate P to be passed, and pinch rollers 31a and 31b provided at the outside portion of a leveling roller arrangement region in a pass line of the metal plate P. The metal plate P is rolled by way of the leveling rollers 6 and 8 under the rolling amount that is required for straightening the metal plate P by the rolling cylinder 4, while the metal plate P is passed by the drive force of the drive device 15 and pulling force of the pinch rollers 31a and 31b.
