    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate mill, a tandem type plate mill and a method of rolling a plate by which defective plate thickness distribution of a workpiece is decreased and the local control of edge drop is possible.SOLUTION: The plate mill includes: work rolls provided with a tapered part having a diameter gradually contracted on one side in the axial direction and shiftable in the axial direction; and intermediate rolls which are adjacent to the work rolls on the side of the radial direction, provided with an extended barrel part having the diameter contracted so as not to be brought into contact with back-up rolls in any shifted position in the axial direction on the other side of the tapered part in the axial direction and also provided with a bulged part the projection center of which is situated in a position a little to the extended barrel part and which is bulged in the radial direction and shiftable in the axial direction is adopted.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible copper-clad laminate which can be easily handled during manufacturing a copper-clad laminate without thinning a copper foil; and shows high pliability, successful bending properties and a high stress relaxation effect after molding.
      SOLUTION: In the flexible copper-clad laminate with a copper foil layer formed on one surface or both surfaces of a polyimide resin layer through a heat treatment process, the modulus of elasticity (p2) of the copper foil layer before heat treatment is 50 to 80 GPa and the ratio (p2/p3) of the modulus of elasticity (p2) before heat treatment to the modulus of elasticity (p3) after heat treatment at higher than 300°C is 3.5 to 5.5.
