    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for cooling a steel plate, which is excellent in drainability without impeding the movement (sheet passing) of the steel plate in a manufacturing line of hot-rolled steel plates, and to provide an apparatus and method for manufacturing the hot rolled steel plates.SOLUTION: Cooling nozzles of the cooling apparatus 20, which is arranged on side of the downstream stage side of a final stand 11g of a hot finishing mill train 11 and provided with cooling nozzles 21c, 22c for cooling a conveyed steel plate, are provided on the upper surface side and the under surface side of a portion, through which the steel sheet passes, so as to be able to jet the cooling water. An upper surface guide 30 is provided on the upper surface side. The upper surface guide includes: inflow ports 32 through which the cooling water which is jetted from the cooling nozzle 21c on upper surface side ought to pass; outflow ports 33 which are provide so that water splashed by collision of mutual cooling water which are jetted from adjacent cooling nozzles on the upper surface side in the conveying direction of the steel plate is passable; and drainage passage forming parts 35 which are provided on the upper surface side of the upper surface guide and communicated with the outflow port.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for conveying materials when a working beam type furnace for reheating or heat treating the materials is provided in a hot- working line and to improve the conveying ability. SOLUTION: A traverser 3 for disposing and returning the material in common is provided at a side of the hot-working line, and a roller conveyer type charging table 5 and extracting table 6 being provided at a charging port 6 and an extracting port 8, respectively, of the working beam type furnace 4 are each disposed so that the material conveying direction of each table becomes orthogonal with respect to the traverser 3 mentioned above. In the furnace 4, reciprocating stroke of movable beam is set so that odd number of material supporting positions can be obtained on the fixed beam 15, and the materials are arranged every one position on the fixed beam. Thereby, conveying of the material from an in-furnace charging table 20 to the fixed beam and conveying of the material from the fixed beam to an in-furnace extracting table 21 are alternately carried out every one reciprocating motion of the movable beam, and therefore it becomes possible to simultaneously charge the material into the furnace and extract the material from the furnace.
