    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller leveler and straightening method for a metal plate, capable of fully straightening even a metal plate that is thin and has high yield stress.SOLUTION: A roller leveler 100 which straightens a metal plate P that has been cut out includes a plurality of leveling rollers 6 and 8 which rotate to cause the metal plate to be passed while sandwiching the metal plate P for rolling, a hydraulic press cylinder 4 which rolls the metal plate P by way of the leveling rollers 6 and 8, a drive device 15 which rotates the leveling roller to cause the metal plate P to be passed, and pinch rollers 31a and 31b provided at the outside portion of a leveling roller arrangement region in a pass line of the metal plate P. The metal plate P is rolled by way of the leveling rollers 6 and 8 under the rolling amount that is required for straightening the metal plate P by the rolling cylinder 4, while the metal plate P is passed by the drive force of the drive device 15 and pulling force of the pinch rollers 31a and 31b.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the quality and yield of a product by installing the troughs used for guiding the head part of a steel stock and the loop control surface of flat floor as well as arranging loop-position detectors. CONSTITUTION:Troughs 14, 15 projected upward for guiding the head parts of steel stocks are installed on the surfaces 16, 17, consisting of flat floors and used for controlling the loops of stocks. Further, infrared loop detectors 18, 19 for detecting their loop positions, are arranged above the range of loop formation. The detectors 18, 19 detect automatically the positions of steel stocks and control automatically the number of revolutions of the rolls of the next stand so that the stocks being rolled parallelly in two rows pass the central parts of control surfaces 16, 17 respectively. Therefore the scratches of steel stocks passing on the control surfaces of flat floors are remarkably reduced, and the quality and yield of the product are improved.

    • PURPOSE:To roll continuously a shape steel with 3-high and 2-high mills by disposing inlet side and outlet side guides as well an outside wall opening repeater with an inside wall notch to one side of the 3-high mill and disposing inlet side and outlet side twist guides and an outside wall opening twist repeater with a bulging part to the other side. CONSTITUTION:The rolling material emitted from the lower stage of the 3-high mill 1 passes through the outside wall 7 opening repeater 3 which is provided with the inlet side guide 2, inside wall 5 notch 8 and is operated by the signal from a phototube 1 and the outlet side guide 4 and enters the upper stage of the mill 1. The rolling material emitted from the upper stage passes through the inlet side twist guide 12, the outside opening type twist repeater 13 with the bulging part 25 and the outlet side twist guide 14 and is sent into the 2-high mill. The rolling material is successively twisted 180 deg. by the twist rollers 22 of the guides 12, 14 and the guide rollers 23 of the repeater 13. The notch 8 and bulging part 25 of the repeaters 3, 13 absorb the elongated rolling material to eliminate the trouble when the outside walls 7, 17 fail to open or the trouble arises in releasing the elongated rolling material. The multi-stands continuous rolling of the shape steel is made possible by the above-mentioned method.

    • PURPOSE:To roll satisfactorily an angle stock by twisting successively 180 deg. the angle stock emitted from a rolling mill by means of inlet side and outlet side guide twist rollers and repeater guide rollers to send the angle material to the succeeding rolling mill and absorbing a coil break of the stretched member by the bulging parts of the guides. The angle stock is satisfactorily rolled even by juxtaposed rolling mills using the repeater.

Then the tail end 1a contacts with the outer surface of the inner wall 3b and is guided while the centrifugal force of the tail end 1a is restricted by the inner guiding surface 5a of the guiding member 5; hereby, the tail end 1a smoothly enters the guiding member of the next stand, and the rod 1 is rolled by the run-out side rolling roll 4.

    • PURPOSE:To absorb the deformation of loop and to continue the rolling of stock in proper conditions, by providing a notched part to an inner wall near the inlet of a repeater when a stock, running in a curved form, is not released by some trouble, in the repeater rolling of an outer-wall releasing-type repeater. CONSTITUTION:In repeater rolling, the rolling-stock delivering speed of rolling rolls is made larger than the next biting speed, and the outer wall of a repeater is lifted or is released by other methods, after biting, to roll a stock in proper conditions while allowing it to be freely extendable. In an improper state, caused by the troubles in releasing the outer wall or in disengaging the stock from the wall, the irregularly deformed part of stock is absorbed by the notched part of an inner wall near the inlet of repeater, to continue the rolling in proper conditions thereafter.
