    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently obtain a desired heating regardless of the shape of a material to be heated without necessarily needing a specified heating coil by arranging a core for collecting alternating magnetic field so as to be controllable to the position in the heating coil, in which the alternating magnetic field is generated by supplying high frequency current. SOLUTION: In a high frequency induction heating apparatus for executing the heat treatment of hardening, solution treatment, etc., by heating the material 110 to be heated, such as metal-made member, the alternating magnetic field is generated by supplying the high frequency current from a high frequency current source into the heating coil 121 and this alternating magnetic field is collected with T-shaped cores 131, 132 and impressed to the heating surface of the material 110 to be heated to induction-heat the surface. Further, these cores 131, 132 are controlled to the relative position to the heating coil 121 with a core position control means 100 composed of an actuator of a cylinder, etc., and a control part, etc., connected with this actuator with an air supplying passage, etc. In this way, the distance(d) between the cores 131, 132 and the step parts A, B, respectively, is held to the constant to uniformly heat the material 110 to be heated.
