    • PURPOSE:To enable the bonding of a ceramic part and a metallic part in a short time at a low cost by forming a stress-relaxation layer consisting of a soft metal on the inner surface of a concave fitting part of the metallic part using three specific steps. CONSTITUTION:The subject method for bonding a ceramic part and a metallic part consists of a process to form a stress-relaxation layer of a soft metal on the inner surface of a concave fitting part of the metallic part, a process to insert a protruded insertion part of the ceramic part into the concave fitting part of the metallic part and a process to bond the protruded insertion part of the ceramic part to the concave fitting part of the metallic part. In the above processes, the stress-relaxation layer is formed by the following three steps. The 1st step comprises the deposition of a soft metal on the inner surface of the concave fitting part of the metallic part to form a padding. The 2nd step comprises the cutting of the surface of the padding by machining to form a machined inner surface. The 3rd step comprises the plating of a soft metal to the machined inner surface to form a plated part.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diamond like carbon (DLC) film which has a lower coefficient of friction, higher adhesiveness and abrasion resistance than a DLC film formed with a conventional technology; a method for producing the film with an improved film-forming speed and in a shortened cycle time; a sliding member having a protective film with the low coefficient of friction, the superior abrasion resistance and the superior adhesiveness; and the manufacturing method therefor.
      SOLUTION: The method for producing the diamond like carbon (DLC) film on a substrate includes dissociating a hydrocarbon in an atmosphere containing an introduced hydrocarbon and inert gas while sputtering only a metallic target, instead of using a solid carbon target. Thus formed film is a metal-diamond-like-carbon (DLC) composite film having an atomic ratio of carbon/metallic element of 5 to 50.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a simpler and more inexpensive gear than the prior art.
      SOLUTION: This manufacturing method comprises a constraining process of coaxially engaging a cylindrical original gear 21 having teeth in the inner surface with a constraint fixture 11 having an inner surface 111 of which clearance G of the inner surface facing to the cylindrical outer surface of the original gear 21 is axially different, and a deforming process of pressing the outer surface 211 of the original gear 21 onto the inner surface 111 of the constraint fixture 11 by heating and thermally expanding the original gear 21 and plastically deforming the original gear 21 so that the outer surface 211 of the original gear 21 has a shape corresponding to the shape of the inner surface 111 of the constraint fixture 11. In other words, the outer surface 211 of the original gear 21 is pressed onto the constraint fixture 11 by the thermal expansion in thermally treating the original gear 21, and the original gear 21 plastically deforms in response to different size of the clearance G between the constraint fixture 11 and the original gear 21.

So, at the projecting part of deformed corrugate pipe 16, the bending toughness is become larger corresponding to the increase of deformed amount. That is to say, the property to be easily bent of un-deformed projecting part of corrugate pipe 16 is increased.
