    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a motion of a vehicle which is not intended by a driver even though a driver erroneously operates a shift lever.
      SOLUTION: A shift lever installed in a proximity to a steering wheel so as to improve operability of a driver includes a tip 26A and a trunk part 26B. The tip 26A turns around a junction of the tip 26A and a trunk part 26B. A jig 26A1 which changes an angle as the tip 26A is bent, is installed inside the tip 26A. The trunk part 26B is provided with a conductive contact member 26B1 and a conductive contact member 26A2 which is operated so as to be jointed and not to be joined to the conductive contact member 26B1 by a jig 26A1. When the tip 26A is bent forward of a vehicle, the conductive contact member 26A2 is not pushed onto the conductive contact member 26B1 by the jig 26A1. Therefor, the conductive contact member 26A2 is not joined to the conductive contact member 26B1 to be switched off. As a result, no demand shift position signal is detected.
