    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor for hoist enabled to know that the lubricating oil provided in a bearing is leaked from the bearing and a lubricating oil leakage preventing member. SOLUTION: This motor 1 for hoist comprises a motor main body 2, and a sheave 3 is disposed on a load side of the motor main body 2, and a disk brake 4 is disposed on a side opposite to the load side. The motor main body 2 comprises bearing brackets 15 and 16 in both ends thereof, and ball bearings 17 and 18 having the lubricating oil are supported by the bearing brackets 15 and 16. A rotor 6 is supported by the ball bearings 17 and 18, and a felt packing 20 is provided in the bearing bracket 16 outside of the ball bearing 18. The bearing bracket 16 is formed with a first guide part 41 for releasing the lubricating oil, which flows out of the ball bearing 18, from the bearing bracket 16 and second guide parts 42 and 42 for releasing the lubricating oil, which flows out of the felt packing 20, from the bearing bracket 16.
