摘要： PURPOSE:To provide the high hydrocarbon (HC) trapper having a high capacity capture with the high boiling component of the HC and bulky arom. HC. CONSTITUTION:A laminar porous body of silica which is formed with interlayer crosslinking of SiO2 by dehydraction condensation of silicic acid between the laminar crystals of silicon tetrahedron SiO4 and has many pores between the layers or the laminar porous body of silica-metal oxide having the solid acidity developed by bonding of metal atoms different from silicon to the laminar crystals in addition to the structure of the laminar porous body of the silica is used as the absorbent of the HC trapper. The HC trapper includes the evaporated fuel absorbing device and the exhaust gas purifying device.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain an adsorbing material having excellent adsorption capacity and capable of being used for a long period of time. CONSTITUTION:An adsorbing material 10 is composed of a silica porous material having a large number of pores 92. Each of pores 92 is a pore having a carbon film 1 arranged to the inner wall thereof and has the adsorbing pore 12 surrounded by the carbon film 1. The diameter of each of the pores 91 is pref. 1-6nm and the carbon film 1 covers the surfaces of the pores 91 of the silica porous material 9. The carbon content of the adsorbing material 10 is pref. 3-70wt.%. The adsorbing material is produced by a method wherein org. matter capable of being decomposed by combustion is introduced into the gap between silicate sheets and the adjacent silicate sheets are mutually bonded to obtain a composite of the silica porous body and the org. matter and the composite is baked to imperfectly burn the org. matter. The imperfect combustion of the org. matter is performed, for example, by heating the composite in an inert atmosphere.

SOLUTION: Mixed fuel is formed of which a fluid to be mixed fed from a tank for the fluid to be mixed is mixed in liquid fuel fed from a fuel tank and the fluid to be mixed is not in a supercritical state. The mixed fuel is fed to the fuel injection valve 2 so that a pressure of the mixed fuel in the fuel injection valve 2 is higher than a critical pressure of the fluid to be mixed. A fin 19 extended inside a combustion chamber 11 is formed in a tip of the fuel injection valve 2. The fin 19 is heated by combustion gas or flame so that a temperature of the mixed fuel inside the fuel injection valve 2 tip becomes higher than a critical temperature of the fluid to be mixed, and by this, the fluid to be mixed in the mixed fuel in the fuel injection valve 2 becomes a supercritical state. Then the mixed fuel is injected from the fuel injection valve.

SOLUTION: Carbon dioxide in a supercritical state is prepared as an extracting medium by adding 0.3-5 pts.wt., preferably 0.3-2.5 pts.wt. alcohol to 100 pts.wt. carbon dioxide. The extracting medium is brought into contact with the material to be treated containing glycols. The alcohol to be added may be any alcohol such as methanol, ethanol, propanol, and butanol. The material to be treated is preferably heated to a temp. range higher than the boiling point of the alcohol added and lower than the boiling point of glycols to be extracted. Thereby, for example, glycols in a used engine coolant can be recovered in high efficiency and high purity and can be used again.
