    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous detection even if a signal where a specified cycle pattern is parallel expanded is inputted. SOLUTION: Parallel signal lines are monitored by change point detecting circuits 210-213, input disconnection is detected so as to adopt the output to be active unless an input signal changes to be high or low for a fixed period and a state is adopted as the sleep one after a fixed time elapses when a change point appears in an active state. It is judged whether signal input disconnection or not from the pieces of change point detecting information by a pattern identifying circuit 22. The logical level of the respective signal lines is discriminated at the time of detecting input disconnection concerning the whole signal lines. Signal input disconnection is judged and the output is made to be active at the time of only a specified pattern of data. Thus, the outputs of the change point detecting circuits 210-213 of the respective lines and logical level information of the respective signal lines are coupled so that a transmission pattern at the time of serial transmission is presumed and disconnection is judged.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the limit power of peripheral fuel rods and increase the thermal margin of the whole fuel assembly by increasing the coolant flow in the flow path surrounded by the peripheral fuel rods and a channel box. CONSTITUTION:In the lower tie-plate 28, a coolant guide inlet 30 is provided to introduce coolant between each fuel rod 23 and a water rod 24. The shape of the lower tie-plate 28 is so made that the center of fuel holding part 28a projects more than the peripheral part. The fuel rods 23 supported by the fuel support part 28a and arranged in the center is made longer than those arranged in the periphery. And the lower end of the fuel rods arranged in the center is supported by the fuel support part 28a of the lower tie-plate 28 at lower position than the lower end of the peripheral fuel rods.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control circuit for an optical amplifier and an optical transmission device for preventing occurrence of a light surge independently of a fluctuation in an input optical level. SOLUTION: This invention aims at an optical amplifier 4 the input optical level of which is dynamically changed by placing an optical switch 2 at a pre- stage of a transmission path of an optical signal. Further, the optical amplifier 4 is provided with a control loop to make an output optical level constant using an output constant control section 7. Through the configuration above, a stimulated LD shut-down signal is given to the output constant control section 7 only for a period of τ1+τ2 including a point of time when a switching state of the optical switch 2 is changed synchronously with a switching control signal to control the switching state of the optical switch 2 so as to stop driving of the stimulated LD of the optical amplifier 4.
