摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly cope with a minor rupture accident and improve the safety and economic property of a nuclear reactor by injecting water into a reactor vessel by a steam injector. SOLUTION: When a minor rupture accident occurs, an automatic pressure reducing system 5 or an isolation condenser is operated to reduce the internal pressure of a reactor pressure vessel 2. When the internal pressure of the vessel 2 is lowered to a prescribed value, a low pressure core water injecting system 16 is operated. After several minutes from operation start, combining water from a steam injector 17 is injected into the vessel 2. The internal pressure of the vessel 2 is lowered by water injection of the water injecting system 16, and when the downstream side pressure of a check valve 14 becomes lower than the head pressure of a pool 11, the valve 14 is opened to inject water in the pool 1 into the vessel 2 through a piping 12. Just after the occurrence of the minor rupture accident, the level in the vessel is recovered and kept by water injection of the water injecting systems 16, 10 to ensure the cooling of a core 3. The steam in the vessel 2 is released into the dry well DW of a reactor container 1 to ensure a long-term cooling.

A lost foam pattern 20 is fitted on the outer surfaces of both heat-insulating plates and the pattern bottom part 22 is fixed to this bottom heat-insulating plate 12 and a pattern barrel part 21 is fixed to a barrel heat-insulating plate 11. This pattern bottom part is fixed to a lower pushing plate 27 through an outer bottom heat-insulating plate 25. The upper pushing plate and the lower pushing plate are connected through connecting bolts 30 and integrated to form a lost foam pattern unit U.
