    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency in carrying each copying sheet at a constant processing speed. SOLUTION: The device includes an image reading part for reading image information from an original document, a sheet feeding part for supplying each copying sheet, and a copying part for copying read image information onto the copying sheet. The device also includes a carrying path, which forms at least one or more specific- curvature-having curves between the sheet feeding part and the copying part and on the sheet feeding side and the copying side of which two pairs of carrying rollers are respectively arranged for carrying the copying sheet. The device further includes a carrying control part for controlling drive and stop of each carrying roller, a calculating part for pre-calculating the blank spaces of front and rear end portions of the copying sheet based on the image information and position information of the original document, and a detecting part for detecting the front and rear end portions of the copying sheet being carried. Depending on predetermined copying conditions, the carrying control part successively carries the copying sheets in such a manner that the blank space at the front end of the supplied copying sheet is superimposed on the blank space at the rear end of the previous supplied copying sheet based on the result of the calculation and the result of the detection.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously set a paper feeding tray and a paper discharging tray so as to improve the operability by constituting the paper feeding tray and the paper discharging tray under a document cover, and drawing and using the trays from the document cover. SOLUTION: A motor driven by the control from an electronic circuit inside a copying machine is attached to a carrying roller 23, and specified operation is performed. When the paper discharging tray 26 is opened at an angle which is equal to or larger than a specified angle, the paper feeding tray 24 is pushed to the pawl part of the tray 26 and is cooperatively opened. When the tray 26 is perfectly developed, the tray 26 moves downward by gravity because the rotary fulcrum part of the tray 26 is a long hole, so that an interval between the trays 24 and 26 can be kept wide. The tray 24 is simultaneously housed by returning the tray 26 in the case of housing, and the tray 26 can be in close contact state with the tray 24 by the gravity after being housed because the rotary fulcrum part of the tray 26 is the long hole.

The image forming apparatus 10 has the load units 23 to 27, a motor 31, a reading part 32, a display and operation panel 33, a CPU 34, a memory 35, and an image forming part 3. The CPU 34 stores matching information or the like concerning the load units 23 to 27 corresponding to the image forming apparatus 10, which are stored in the memory 35. The CPU 34 compares the matching information with the initial information of each of the load units 23 to 27 recognized by the reading part 32, and determines whether the load units 23 to 27 which are matching the image forming apparatus 10 are attached or not.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely read an image without deviation by canceling image data during reading and restoring an image read part to a reference position when shift on an original is detected while the original is read. SOLUTION: An image read part faces the original through a transparent image read window part 2 formed on one face in the reader main body 1. The transparent recognition window part 4 is formed on the other face of the reader main body 1 in accordance with a range containing the read start position of the original in the read window part 2. The image read part is constituted of a scanner 19 provided with a light source unit 15 and a mirror base 18, and it executes reciprocal movement in parallel to right/left directions against the read window part 2 in the reader main body 1. CPU22 constituting a control means cancels image data during reading and restored the scanner 19 to the reference position when it detects the shift on the reader main body 1 by turning a ball sensor 3 while the original is read.
