Further, the area of the joint face is enlarged to increase the degree of adhesion, thereby causing no leakage through the joint face.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation assisting device of a rotary press-fitting machine for a columnar member, which does not mar the stability of the rotary press-fitting machine and can smoothly switch to a rotation transmitting mode depending only on an existing motor when a load imposed on the machine is decreased to such a degree that the existing motor alone can rotate the columnar member, after assitance of rotation by the assisting device.
      SOLUTION: The rotary press-fitting machine hangs the columnar member by connecting one end of the columnar member to an output shaft of a rotation driving section inclusive of the motor, which is vertically movably supported by a leader mast. Then the rotation assisting device of the rotary press-fitting machine for the columnar member, is supported at a lower portion of the leader mast, and comprised of a rotary body, an auxiliary rotary frame, an auxiliary motor, and a one-way clutch. The rotary body has a chuck device, and the rotary body and the auxiliary rotary frame are concentrically arranged so as to be rotatable individually. The auxiliary motor rotates the auxiliary rotary frame, and connects the auxiliary rotary frame to the rotary body so as to transmit rotation from the former to the latter at the time of one-way continuous rotation of the former. The one-way clutch mechanism cancels the connection when rotation of the rotary body transmitted from the rotation driving section via the chuck device becomes faster than the rotation of the same transmitted from the auxiliary rotary body.
