    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a muddy water suction device preventing adhesion of solid such as clay or piece of wood around a screen cage at a time of sucking muddy water generated in connection with civil engineering work and positively removing solid when the same adheres around the screen cage. SOLUTION: When a rotary blade 16 is rotated in a regular direction, muddy water W1 flows in the screen cage 20 through a first side surface 21 of the screen cage. Since quantity of muddy water W1 flowing into the screen cage 20 through the first side surface 21 is greater than quantity of muddy water W2 sucked by a pump, muddy water W3 flowing out of the screen cage 20 through a second side surface 22 of the screen cage 20 is generated. Consequently, solid such as mud, clay, stones, reinforcing steel, and a piece of wood contained in muddy water W1 does not adhere on an outer surface of the second side surface 22. The attachment is equipped with a driving means for oscillating the widening excavation rod from the suspended position to the widening excavation position, and a motor for rotating the widening excavation rod.
