    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection structure and a connection technique for steel pipe for pipe roof technique of earth retaining by pushing pipes in a parallel arrangement into an outer peripheral region of an excavation cross section.SOLUTION: An outer joint pipe 2 is attached to an end of a steel pipe 1, an inner joint pipe 3 is attached to an opposite end of the steel pipe 1, and the outer joint pipe 2 and inner joint pipe 3 are fitted and connected. Through holes 2c, 3c which are arranged having centers aligned with each other are provided in circumferential directions of intermediate parts of both the joint pipes 2, 3 in pipe-axial directions. In an inner peripheral surface of the inner joint pipe 3, female screw members 5 are installed having centers of their screw holes 5b aligned with centers of the through holes 3c of the inner joint pipe 3. The inner joint pipe 3 is fitted in a hollow part of the outer joint pipe 2, pin materials 6 are fitted in the through holes 2c of the outer joint pipe 2 and the through holes 3c of the inner joint pipe 3 which have the center aligned with each other, and bolts 7 inserted into bolt through holes 6a of the pin materials 6 are screwed in the screw holes 5b of the female screw members 5 to be fastened.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint structure for extending and connecting steel pipes to each other in an axial direction.SOLUTION: In a joint structure, an outer joint pipe 2 is attached to an end part of one steel pipe 1, an inner joint pipe 3 is attached to an end part of the other steel pipe 1, and the inner joint pipe 3 is fitted into the outer joint pipe 2 to connect both steel pipes 1 to each other. The inner joint pipe 3 and the outer joint pipe 2 are provided with pin holes 2c, 3c at a plurality of positions, respectively, the pin holes 2c, 3c being arranged so that respective centers thereof coincide with each other. Female screw members 5 are arranged and fixed on the inner peripheral surface of the inner joint pipe 3, in the state of matching the female screw members 5 to the centers of the pin holes 3c. Coupling pins 6 or 6' to be inserted into the pin holes 2c, 3c of both joint pipes are collared pins, each having a collar part 6b at the outer end part thereof, the collar part hitting against the outer peripheral surface of the outer joint pipe 2. The collared pins 6 or 6' are inserted from the pin holes 2c of the outer joint pipe 2 to the pin holes 3c of the inner joint pipe 3, and slip-off preventing bolts 7 inserted through bolt through-holes 6a are screwed into screw holes 5b of the female screw members 5 and fastened to fix the collared pins 6.
