    • PURPOSE: A coating material useful as a water stopping material for joint parts of sheet pile such as various kinds of steel, light-weight steel, steel pipes, etc., consisting of a urethane prepolymer having NCO terminal group of polyether polyol and an organic polyisocyanate, curable with moisture to give improved water swelling properties and water stopping properties.
      CONSTITUTION: A urethane prepolymer having NCO terminal group consisting of (A) a polyether polyol (e.g., oxyethylene/oxypropylene copolymer polyether polyol having 50W100wt% oxyetherlene content based on total oxyalkylene amount and 800W4,000 hydroxyl group equivalent) and (B) an organic polyisocyanate (e.g., tolylene diisocyanate and/or 4,4-diphenylmethane diisocyanate type polyisocyanate) in an equivalent ratio of NCO group of the component B/OH group of the component A=1.4W2.5 is optionally blended with (C) a waterproof agent and a solvent, to give the desired coating material.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a coiled spring or so of automobiles, which has less possibilities in occurance of pitting corrosion and prominent characteristics of corrosion fatigue by spreading a coat which contains metal chromic powder having a specific weight percent over the surface as widely as an area having a specific area ratio. CONSTITUTION:In a suspension spring such as a coiled spring of an automobile, a coat containing metal chromic powder 60-97% in weight percent is applied on the surface of the spring as much as 20-1,200g/m . The metal chromic powder is prepared by using an atomized method and an average diameter of the particles is approximately 0.1-10mu. The coat of a paint which is composed of color spreading agent containing hardening agent, sigment, solvent and so on is applied on the surface of the spring by various methods and then dried to harden at a normal temperature or under the heating condition. The resulting coat containing the metal chromic powder restrains growth of a pit due to corrosion and prevents a fatigue crack which grows from a deep pit as an initial point, hence providing a coated spring superior in corrosion fatigue characteristics.

      CONSTITUTION: An anaerobically curing anticorrosive coating material is obtained by molding in tape form two-pack vinyl ester resin compsns. comprising a blend consisting mainly of vinyl ester resins (e.g., epoxy/acrylates, polyacrylates) or mixed resins comprising said vinyl ester resins and other resins (e.g. PS, polymethyl methacrylate) compatible therewith, with a blend consisting mainly of an anaerobically curing catalyst (e.g., cumene hydroperoxide) capable of curing vinyl ester resins in the absence of air. Said coating material is excellent in anti-corrosion and applicability and can be effectively used particularly in rust-preventive repairing of steel structures, etc. positioned at a site under the influence of water stream or water pressure.
