    • PURPOSE:To easily and efficiently carry out floor-panel laying operation by pressedly fitting end-swelled members provided to a panel support of a supporting leg into the engaging holes provided on the floor panels. CONSTITUTION:A floor panel 10 is of a hollow structure in which a bottom plate 14 is welded to the undersurface of a sequare upper steel plate 13. And, a supporting leg 12 is made up of a plastic layer 15 provided at its bottom, and a supporting bolt 16 having a groove 16a at its top. Further, a panel support 17 screwed onto the supporting bolt 16 for adjusting the height of the floor panel, and steel balls 18 of a diameter D fixed to the panel support are provided. And the engaging hole 19a (not shown) of a grommet 19 of an elastic material provided to the corner part of each of the four floor panels 10 which are to be supported by the supporting leg 12 is pressedly fitted from above onto the steel ball 18 on the panel support 17 of the supporting leg 12, so that the floor panel 10 is fixed to the supporting leg 12. Thus, the floor panel and the supporting leg can be fixed without requiring bolts and nuts, so that workability can be enhanced.

    • PURPOSE:To manufacture a square steel pipe while preventing the reduction of wall thickness at the corners, by applying a butt welding to side edges for forming a square blank pipe wherein the outside radius of curvature of corners and the outside circumferential length are respectively made pescribedly larger than those of a purposed product, and by passing this square blank pipe through a sizing mill. CONSTITUTION:A flat steel sheet material is bent at each of four corners, and the longitudinal side edges are butt welded to form a square blank pipe. Hereupon, the outside radius of curvature of each corner is limited in a range from 1.2 times the outside radius of curvature of the corner of a purposed product to less than the radius of a parent pipe which is defined as follows. That is, the parent pipe is a round pipe having a diameter obtained by dividing the outer circumferential length of the said square blank pipe by the circular constant pi. Moreover, the outer circumferential length of the square blank pipe is made 1.002-1.02 times the outer circumferential length of the product. The square blank pipe with thus regulated dimensions is passed through a sizing mill in order to finish it into a square steel pipe with the prescribed shape and dimensions of the product. According to the present method, the reduction of wall thickness to be caused by the corner bending work is restored so that a wall thickness larger than the initial sheet thickness can be obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To surely adjust plate thickness with a simple operation and to reduce the adjusting time by setting a roller holder to support a pressure roller for a forming unit so that the roller holder can rotate in the direction of plate thickness centering a supporting pin. CONSTITUTION:The adjustment of plate thickness is carried out by changing a plate thickness adjusting liner 24 of the roller holder 17 supporting the pressure roller 14 with a prescribed liner corresponding to the plate thickness of material. This change is performed by loosing a screw 25, removing the plate thickness liner 24, inserting a new plate thickness adjusting liner 24, tightening and fixing the screw 25. The angle of rotation centering the supporting pin 23 of the roller holder 17 is regulated by this change of the plate thickness adjusting liner 24 and the pressure roller 14 is displaced in the direction of a bisector of a corner part to make a clearance corresponding to a prescribed plate thickness. As a result, the plate thickness adjusting operation is simplified and the adjusting time is reduced.
