    • PURPOSE:To easily and efficiently join by calking the superposed part of two metal plates with respect to formed article from metal plates by a roll forming mill. CONSTITUTION:The superposed part 11 of the metal plates 1, 2 is passed through between a projection roll 15 having a projection blade 17 and a receiver roll 16 having a receiving groove 18. The superposed part 11 of the metal plates is lanced and simultaneously pushed in; and the part A between the notched lines is upset and extended. The width of the receiving groove 18 is wider than the width of the projection blade 17 by the portion of a shearing clearance, and therefore, the part A between the lanced lines is expanded in width though slightly. In this case, the side wall of the receiving groove 18 is gnawed by the part A between the lanced lines, but as the receiving groove 18 is provided on the roll, the part A between the notched lines is easily taken out of the receiving groove 18. By the expansion of the width of the part A between the notched lines, the two metal plates 1, 2 are joined. Thus, calking to join metal plates is performed without a complex mechanism such as allowing the side wall to widely open on the side of a die hole.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a fixed end part closing shape without causing the crack on a deckplate by providing an optional slope on the lower side end face of a backplate and by abutting the claw which is supported by a pin to the elliptic groove of a punch to the slope. CONSTITUTION:The upper blade 20 and punch 15 are provided together on the upper part holder 14 and the elliptic groove 27 to which the necessary length is given is grooved on the punch 15. An optional slope Q is provided on the lower side end face of the back plate 18 and the L-shaped claw 16 which is supported by a pin 19 to the elliptic groove 25 of the punch 15 is abutted to the slope Q. The whole body of the upper part die descends simultaneously with the descent of a press ram and gives a predeformation to the flange part of the deckplate. The crushing of the crest pat of the deckplate is started by the punch 15 after the descent of the projection of the claw 16. The claw 16 moves the elliptic groove 27 to the upper part simultaneously with its returning to the vertical state by receiving the skew by the punch 15 with the pin 19 as the fulcrum. The claw 16 performs the closing work of the deckplate by receiving the load of the upper part holder 14.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a fixed end part closing shape without causing any crack by performing the inner bending predeformation by a claw-shaped projection on the flange part of a deckplate, then by crushing it upto the root face bottom part with a press die. CONSTITUTION:The whole upper die body is descended simultaneously with the descent of a press ram and the projection of a claw 16 gives a predeformation on the flange pat of the deckplate by descending upto a point (b) by coming in touch with the point (a) of the flange part of the deckplate. After descent of the projection of the claw 16 to the point (b) the crushing of the crest part of the deckplate by the punch 15 is started. Simultaneously with this, a cam 6 is descended according to the groove of the cam guide, but the predeformation function is dissipated with the cam 6 escaping in the arrow mark direction by the dislocation allowance. The claw 16 moves to the upper part the elliptic groove 27 provided on the punch 15 simultaneously with being returned to the vertical state by receiving the skew by a pump 15. The claw 16 performs the closing of the deckplate by receiving the load of the upper part holder 14.

    • PURPOSE:To make a roll small-sized, and to form shape steel of many kinds of dimensions by the roll, by using a forming roll device assembled by an edge roll and a side roll. CONSTITUTION:A position of a lower edge roll 8 is decided in accordance with the width of a product by rotating an adjusting male screw 7. An inclined angle of a side roll 9 is adjusted by rotating the adjusting male screw 13 and moving a block 12 up and down. A gap between an upper edge roll 18 and the lower edge roll 8 is aligned with plate thickness of a band steel material by rotating a screw 17, and the upper edge roll 18 is aligned with an upper prescribed position of the lower edge roll 8 by rotating an adjusting male screw 19. Subsequently, wedge-like metallic fittings 24 aligned to the width of a product are fitted to the lower end part of a male screw 23, and made to descend between left and right holders 21, and are made to contact with the inclined face of the holder at the inside position of the lower edge roll 18. When a material is made to pass through after said adjustment, the flange part is press-bent by the side roll 9 in a state that the band steel material W is placed between the upper and lower edge rolls, and necessary formed goods are formed.
