摘要： PURPOSE:The captioned additive which is obtainable by mixing steel making air crushing slag to sawdust and press molding the mixture and which is free from shape collapsion during transport and is superior in acting effect. CONSTITUTION:When air crushing slag 20-40% obtainable by blowing air to steel making slag such as converter molten slag is mixed in sawdust and the mixture is press molded, the additive which is high in bulk density, burns by reaching deep into the molten slag, produces sufficient CO2 gas and exhibit killing effect is obtained. Since it is superior in breakdown resistance, it does not cause shape collapsion and dusting, thus permitting good maintenance of working environment.

摘要： PURPOSE:To properly control blowing in operation of a pure oxygen top blowing converter with high accuracy by modifying the temp. and component of a steel bath measured with a sublance in consideration of prograss of refining reaction and inputting the modified values into a blowing control model in a computer. CONSTITUTION:The component and temp. of a steel bath measured with a sublance during oxygen blowing in a converter do not represent the true component and temp. of the whole steel bath at the measuring point of time. The representative values of the component and temp. of the whole steel bath are values at a point of time at which blowing reaction progresses as compared to the values measured with the sublance. The steel bath is blown more progressively in an oxygen jet firing range, and the whole steel bath is slowly subjected to decarburization, etc. with supersatd. oxygen present in molten slag and the bath. Therefore, in accordance with actual operation results the component (C%) and temp. of the steel bath are modified with 0.85-1.0 and 1.0- 1.15 as component and temp. modifying coefficients. By inputting the resulting values in a computer as the representative values of the steel bath, oxygen blowing is controlled in the converter with high accuracy.

In this way, the temp. dropping of the mold is prevented and the occur. rence ratio for misrun of molten metal in the mold, which occurs at the second half of the casting, is remarkably reduced.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a clear waveform without being influenced by an irregularly reflected echo by inserting a probe into a holder provided with an irregular reflection absorbing member at the lower inner surface and inspecting the flaw of a member to be tested. CONSTITUTION:The holder 2 is provided with a coaxial cut part 3 on the lower inner peripheral surface and therein a circular irregular reflection absorbing member 4 is fitted so that its inner periphery and the lower surface can be made flush with the inner periphery and lower surface of the holder 2 respectively. The probe 1 is inserted into the holder 2 so that its bottom can contact the irregular reflection absorbing member 4, and its lower surface is fixed at a position where it is located upward the lower surface of the holder 2 by a clearance (g). When the holder 2 inserted by the probe 1 is placed on the material to be tested 5, the clearance (g) is formed. When a flaw is searched in this state, all the irregularly reflected echo due to fine cracking on the surface or right under of the material to be tested 5 is absorbed by the irregular reflection absorbing member 4, whereby the extremely clear waveform can be obtained without influence of the irregularly reflected echo.

摘要： PURPOSE:To allow the C content and temp. of a steel bath to agree with the desired values at the end of blowing, in blowing operation of an oxygen converter, by measuring the C content and temp. of the bath; introducing the measured values or estimated values into dynamic control in accordance with the difference between the values; and carrying out blowing. CONSTITUTION:In an oxygen converter hot iron is oxidation-refined to steel by oxygen blowing. At a stated period (about 2 min before the prearranged blowing end point) after the beginning of oxygen blowing through an upper lance, the C content and temp. of the steel bath are measured with a sublance. At the same time, the estimated C content and temp. of the bath are calculated. The values and the measured values are compared, and the measured values and estimated values are introduced into dynamic control to carry out blowing when the difference is within and without a certain range, respectively. Thus, the C content and temp. of the steel bath agree with the desired values at the end of blowing in many charges.
