摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability by providing a synthetic resin made anticorrosive protective layer having specified hardness and a specified shape on an outer surface of a screw connecting part of a polyethylene covered steel pipe. SOLUTION: Screw coupler type propulsive pipes 1a, 1b are constituted by providing anticorrosive protective layers 5, 6 on a screw connecting part welded on an end part of an outer surface polyethylene covered steel pipe. The layers 5, 6 contain a norbornane monomer, a metathesis catalyser and an activator and is larger in hardness than polyethylene, and it endures friction at the time of propulsion. End parts to cover polyethylene covering layers of the layers 5, 6 reduces propulsive resistance as tapered surfaces, ana step difference is provided on a flange surface. Thereafter, after a packing 12 is installed on a male screw part of the pipe 1a and the flange surface of the protective layer 5, the pipes 1a, 1b are screwed. An anticorrosive sheet 14 of heat contractive polyethylene coated with a rubber pressure sensitive adhesive material, etc., are wound around a U shaped groove 13 formed on a stepped part and heated and contracted. Consequently, it is possible to prevent peeling of the sheet 14 and to extensively shorten anticorrosive treatment time at a construction site.

The other end of the duct sleeve 4 is fixed and connected to a through hole 3 of the duct 2 and absorbs displacement of the ground at the bellows part of the duct sleeve 4.

The main pipe 2a of the leading propulsion steel pipe 1a is butted against the main pipe 2b of the following propulsion steel pipe 1b before propulsion work, and partial welding is performed from their outer surfaces. Subsequently, propulsion work is performed and similar partial welding and propulsion work for the main pipes are repeated to perform main welding from the inner surfaces at a time within a period of time that does not affect the propulsion work, so as to join the pipes together.

The pipe has high compression strength and long service life.
