    • PURPOSE:To avoid trouble of designating communication environment for each communication by registering and managing the communication environment such as a terminal connection number and a line or the like required for connecting terminal equipments corresponding to group identification information relating to a communication group to a communication network. CONSTITUTION:In the case of communication among three points or the like through the use of two sets each of incoming terminal equipments 1 and 2, 3 and 4, and 5 and 6, a caller sends a command connecting terminal equipments at each point to an exchange 7 of a communication network together with a group identifier corresponding to the communication group. Then the identifier is fed to a database center 20 by a control section 8 of the communication network and a communication environment such as a connection number of a terminal equipment corresponding to the identifier registered in the center 20 and a line or the like required for the connection between terminal equipments is retrieved and transferred to the control section 8, a line between a caller terminal and an exchange 7 and a line among the called terminal equipment and exchanges 9,11 are set and it is not required to designate complicated communication environment for each communication.

CONSTITUTION:In a wide area communication network such as a nationalwide network, etc., first communication nodes 111-114 and a second communication node 120 which perform the transfer in one to mutually are ester-connected, etc., the ring modules 141-145 which perform one-pair plural connection for each terminal equipment are provided at the nodes 111-114 and 120. For example, a communication signal from terminal equipment 101 is sent to the node 111, and is sent by the one-pair plural connection to terminal equipment 102 and 103, and a transmission line 131 by the module 141. Next, an input communication signal from each of transmission line 132 and 134 is one-pair plural connected to terminal equipment 104, 108, and 109 via the modules 142 and 144 at the nodes 112 and 114, and the multi-address communication of a transmission signal from the equipment 101 to the equipment 102-104, 108 and 109 are performed.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the line utilizing rate by an inter synchronous transfer mode(STM) exchange module coupling device by setting a criterion for the increased line capacity and the decreased line capacity between exchange modules. CONSTITUTION:The system is provided with an exchange 1, exchange modules 2-4, a line path 5 between the exchange modules 2 and 4, a line path 6 between the exchange modules 2 and 3, and a line path 7 between the exchange modules 3 and 4, and also lines 8-10 between the exchange modules 2-4 and an inter STM exchange module coupling device 11, the inter STM exchange module coupling device 11, a relay network/subscriber network 12 and a subscriber circuit 13. Then, the line paths 5-7 between the exchange modules 2-4 are installed while being divided into a logically fixed line paths independently of timewise fluctuation of a communication traffic between the exchange modules and into variable line paths depending on timewise fluctuation of a communication traffic between the exchange modules.
