    • PURPOSE:To obtain an opening and closing valve of fluid formed in a small size further provided with a very high speed response, by using an electrostrictive element and utilizing an electrostrictive effect so as to drive a spool valve. CONSTITUTION:If voltages is applied to a laminated electrostrictive element (PZT) 3, the PZT extends by its characteristic moving a piston 5 in a direction decreasing volume of the first pressure oil chamber 9 while increasing pressure in its inside, and a spool valve 10 moves by a decrease of the volume to a side of the second pressure oil chamber 16. Then an opening and closing valve, connecting a branch passage 15a of an oil passage 15 with a recessed part 8a, allows high pressure working fluid in the second pressure oil chamber 16 to successively flow at a high speed to the oil passage 15, recessed part 8a, outlet passage 19 and an outlet hole 20. The downstream side of a throttle part 17 generates a low pressure as compared with the upstream side, and the opening and closing valve, allowing high pressure oil in the first pressure oil chamber 9 to flow leaking through a clearance L and moving the spool valve 10 to a side of the first pressure oil chamber 9 by a pressure difference between the first and second pressure oil chambers 16, 9 and the tension of a spring 22, cuts off communication of the branch passage 15a with the recessed part 8a.

    • PURPOSE:To ventilate the inside of a vehicle with the use of solar cells upon parking, by attaching the solar cells to the exterior of the vehicle such that the number of solar cells in series connection is changed in the intensity of the sun light, and electrical power from the solar cells is fed to a ventilating means. CONSTITUTION:Amorphous solar cells 21A through 21F of three cell series connection type, are connected in series for every three to obtain solar cell groups 21A-C, 21D-F which are connected to a motor 11 through a twin-type electromagnetic relay RL1. Further, an amorphous solar cell 22 of seven cell series connection type is connected to a coil in the twin-type electromagnet relay RL1 which is therefore energized by the output of the solar cell 22. This relay RL1 is energized when the voltage applied to the coil exceeds 3.5V. That is, when the intensity of the sun light is about 100W/m , that is, it is low, the relay FL1 is not energized so that the solar cell groups are connected in parallel, and therefore no air is fed, but when it is 200W/m , they are connected in series to feed air. With this arrangement, the solar cell may be effectively used to ventilate the inside of the vehicle during parking.

    • PURPOSE:To improve brake performance by installing a body installed onto the outside surface of a chassis and an attack-angle adjusting mechanism which increases and reduces the attack angle of the body by a brake signal and setting the resistance and the lift coefficient in high-speed traveling within an optimum range, thus sharply increasing the resistance coefficient on brake application. CONSTITUTION:When a brake pedal 16 is stepped-in by a set amount or less, a body 30 is fixed in the state where the undersurface of the body 30 contacts with the body seat surfaced 31D-33D of the wing spars 31-33, and the forward and downward aerodynamic force is generated at the rear part of a chassis during traveling, and the floating-up due to the lift at the rear part of the chassis is prevented, and driving performance is improved. On brake application where the pedal 16 is stepped-in by a set amount or more, a microswitch 15A is turned ON to put a coil into electric conduction. Then, the contact is set to the position shown by the broken line, and a servo motor 53 is put into electric conduction in the reverse direction and is revolved in the reverse direction, and the rear edge of the body 30 is shifted to the position where a hook 52B contacts with a microswitch 55B. Therefore, the negative angle alpha of attack of the body 3 with respect to air stream increases, and the air stream is exfoliated from the undersurface, and the resistance coefficient increases to apply air brake.

    • PURPOSE:To simultaneously improve the aerodynamic characteristic and comfortableness by combining a body which is installed onto the outside surface of a chassis for adjusting the air stream on the periphery of the chassis and a heat accumulation water tank for accumulating the cooling water having a high temperature for the engine in the body, thus reducing the reconstruction of the chassis to the minimum. CONSTITUTION:An exciting coil 115a is put into electric conduction by turning ON a switch 116 for warming, and an always-closed contact 115b is closed, and an electrically driven pump 110 is put into electric conduction to start operation, and at the same time, also a fan 106 for warming is put into electric conduction to start operation. While, since the temperature of cooling water is low immediately after the start of an engine 100, a temperature sensor 112 does not operate, and also a relay 114 does not operate, and the both solenoid valves 109 and 111 do not conduct, and the closed valve state is maintained. Therefore, the cooling water having a low temperature in the engine part does not flow into a radiator 105 for warming, and only the cooling water having a high temperature in a heat accumulation water tank 7 circulates into the radiator 105, and heat exchange is performed between the cooling water having a high temperature and the blown air of the fan 106 for warming, and the blown air is heated to form warm wind, which is blown at driver's foot from the blowing port of a heater case 107.

In addition, for example, a car speedometer 252 and an engine tachometer 253 are mounted on a display panel board 251 of the information display section 25.

    • PURPOSE:To enable the improvement of an aerodynamic characteristic and the utilization of electric energy, through one time of mounting work, without altering the construction of a vehicle body to mount a solar cell, by covering the surface of the solar cell of a solar cell mechanism with the transparent body of an air spoiler. CONSTITUTION:A roof air spoiler 3 comprises a wing-shaped body 5, which has a cross section similar to that of a wedge and is long along the width of a vehicle and molded from a transparent plastic such as acrylic resin and polyvinyl chloride, a solar cell mechanism 6 embedded in the body 5, and a reflector 65 provided on the bottom of the body 5, which is placed on the body of the vehicle. During the movement of the vehicle, the tendency of air flow on the front 52 of the spoiler 3 acts to apply a downward pneumatic force to prevent the vehicle from being floated up. Electric energy generated by the solar cell mechanism 6 is used for battery charging etc. Since solar cells are three-dimensionally packed in the mechanism 6, a high power generation efficiency is attained for a wide range of sunlight incidence angle.
