    • PURPOSE:To reduce NOx by ejecting a fuel and primary air in the tangential direction of a primary virtual circle having a small radius and secondary air in the tangential direction of a secondary virtual circle having a large diameter. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle 8 for a fuel mixed gas is directed toward the tangential direction 14 of a primary virtual circle 12 of a small diameter within a planar section of a furnace 2, and secondary air nozzle 9 is directed toward the tangential direction 15 of a virtual circle 13 concentric with the virtual circle 12 and having a diameter larger than that of the circle 12. Further, air nozzles 10 and 11 are directed toward the tangential direction 17 of a virtual circle 16 concentric with the virtual circle 13 and having a diameter smaller than that of the circle 13. A region of a concentrated reducing atmosphere and a region 20 of an oxidation atmosphere encircling the region 19 are constituted in a space of the furnace by a turning fire ball 18. The reducing atmosphere region 19 is charged with air 11 for three-stage burning. The heat of a gas 22 generated by burning and forming an oxidizing atmosphere at the upper part 21 of the furnace 21 is recovered on the heat transfer surface within a flue 23 and contributes to the generation, overheating and reheating of vapor, thus reaching a boiler outlet 24. Hence, the increase of Nox is prevented by forming the reducing atmosphere at the central portion in the section of the furnace and the oxidation atmosphere in the periphery of the wall of the furnace.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a ring flame from quenching due to the adhesion of carbon on the surface at the furnace internal side of a flame holding device of a burner. CONSTITUTION:A ring flame 7 is formed in the vicinity of the surface at the furnace internal 10 side of a flame holding device 6 with one part of a fuel 4 which is fed from a burner gun 3 and one part of primary air 5 which is fed from a primary air nozzle 1, for a flame holding device of a burner. For such a flame holding device, a plurality of primary air intake holes 11 which go through the flame holding device 6 are provided. At the same time, on the furnace internal 10 side of said holes 11, a guide plate 12 which changes the direction of the primary air having passed said holes 11 in the direction being approx. in parallel with the surface on the furnace internal 10 side of the flame holding device 6 is provided to form an air curtain which goes along the surface on the furnace internal 10 side of the flame holding device 6, and carbon is prevented from adhering.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to reduce the size and production cost as well as destroy bacteria to a satisfactory extent by forming a combustion chamber partitioned with ceramic perforated plates having an opening before and after and installing a plurality of ceramic perforated plates on the downstream side of said combustion chamber with their opening sections made in different positions alternatively. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of ceramic perforated plates 7 are installed on the downstream side of a combustion chamber 2. Their opening sections 7' are provided alternatively in different positions so that gas may flow between the ceramic perforated plates in a zigzag manner. The odor ingredients or the like contained in the gas flowing through bores 6' on ceramic perorated plates 6 on the upperstream side heated to a high temperature by the radiation of flames, are decomposed by heat to some extent. The ceramic perforated plates 7 on the downstream side are further heated by the radiation of flames from a burner 3 and the heated gas flowing through the passage between the perforated plates or the bores on the perforated plates themselves so that the odor component contained in the gas flowing there may be completely heat- decomposed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame holder for a boiler burner which is protected against adhesion of carbon. SOLUTION: The flame holder 6 comprising a funnel-like cone 6a at the forward end of a burner guide plate 2, an outer tube 6b, an inner tube 6c, and a reinforcing rib 6d is fixed by inserting a burner gun 3 into the burner guide plate 2 and arranging primary air nozzles 1 on the periphery. The cone 6a is provided with a circumferential primary air intake hole 11 and a guide plate 22 having opposite open sides for forming an air chamber 13 is placed on the upper surface thereof. Fuel is supplied from the burner gun 3 and the primary air 5 is supplied from the primary air nozzles 1. Primary air 5a-5e is supplied into a furnace 10 and mixed with the fuel 4 to form a flame 8 while prime air 5f is jetted from a large number of punched holes 14 of the guide plate 22. Since carbon is prevented from adhering to the surface of the guide plate 22, a ring flame 7 is not distinguished and firing is stabilized.
