    • PURPOSE: To continuously operate a furnace for a long time without generating the splash of slag and a solid-phase slag which results in closing of the furnace by mounting a plate-Be vortex breaker on the inner wall of the ceiling part and the throttle part of an upper combustion furnace. CONSTITUTION: A coal combustion device is constructed in such a way that pulverized coal is swirled and burnt in a cylindrical combustion furnace 3, ash is captured by a furnace wall by a centrifugal force and dropped onto the bottom part of the combustion furnace 3 and combustion produced gas is supplied outside the furnace 3 via a conical diffuser 6 from the upper throttle part 2 of the combustion furnace 3. A plate-like vortex breaker 1A is mounted on the inner wall of the ceiling part 4 ad the throttle part 2 of the combustion furnace 3. As a result, the swirl flow of gas in the vicinity of the inner wall surfaces of these parts is damped, so that the swirl flow in the combustion furnace 3 is not transmitted to a diffuser 6 or a reductor 7. Thus, pushing-up force due to the gas of molten slag adhering to the wall surfaces of the ceiling part 4 ad the throttle part 2 is suppressed and the molten slag does not reside in the diffuser 6.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a burner burning solid fuel with good ignitability by providing a first separator which separates the solid fuel mixture gas into a high concentration solid fuel mixture gas and low concentration solid fuel mixture gas, a low concentration solid fuel mixture gas nozzle, a second separator which separates the high concentration solid fuel mixture gas into a super-high concentration solid fuel mixture gas and a low concentration solid fuel mixture gas, and a high concentration solid fuel mixture gas nozzle. CONSTITUTION:A pulverized coal mixture gas 09 (A/C = 2-4) which is fed into a pulverized coal separator 20 is separated here to a high concentration pulverized coal mixture gas 25 (A/C = 1.5+ or -0.5) and low concentration pulverized mixture gas 26 (A/C = 5-20), and those mixture gases are fed respectively to a high concentration pulverized coal transporting pipe 23 and a low concentration pulverized coal transporting pipe 24, and the low concentration pulverized coal mixture gas 26 passes through a low concentration pulverized coal transporting pipe 24 and is supplied to a low concentration pulverized coal mixture gas nozzle 22. On the other hand, the high concentration pulverized coal transporting pipe 23 is provided with a deflected flow device 28 and the flow of the high concentration pulverized coal mixture gas 25 that is fed through it is deflected downwards by deflection flow boards 28a and 28a'. The super-high concentration pulverized coal mixture gas 25a and low concentration pulverized coal mixture gas 25b that are formed at the outlet section of a deflection flow device 28 keep their division by a twisted board 27 and they are respectively fed to the upper injection outlet 21a and the lower injection outlet 21b of the high concentration mixture gas nozzle 21. With this arrangement a low concentration solid fuel mixture gas and high concentration solid fuel mixture gas with a poor ignitability can be burned stably.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce NOx by ejecting a fuel and primary air in the tangential direction of a primary virtual circle having a small radius and secondary air in the tangential direction of a secondary virtual circle having a large diameter. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle 8 for a fuel mixed gas is directed toward the tangential direction 14 of a primary virtual circle 12 of a small diameter within a planar section of a furnace 2, and secondary air nozzle 9 is directed toward the tangential direction 15 of a virtual circle 13 concentric with the virtual circle 12 and having a diameter larger than that of the circle 12. Further, air nozzles 10 and 11 are directed toward the tangential direction 17 of a virtual circle 16 concentric with the virtual circle 13 and having a diameter smaller than that of the circle 13. A region of a concentrated reducing atmosphere and a region 20 of an oxidation atmosphere encircling the region 19 are constituted in a space of the furnace by a turning fire ball 18. The reducing atmosphere region 19 is charged with air 11 for three-stage burning. The heat of a gas 22 generated by burning and forming an oxidizing atmosphere at the upper part 21 of the furnace 21 is recovered on the heat transfer surface within a flue 23 and contributes to the generation, overheating and reheating of vapor, thus reaching a boiler outlet 24. Hence, the increase of Nox is prevented by forming the reducing atmosphere at the central portion in the section of the furnace and the oxidation atmosphere in the periphery of the wall of the furnace.
