摘要： PURPOSE:To provide the titled device which improves the end parts of a billet without growing a solidified matter on stationary gate sides in continuous casting of a thin plate using opposed cooling rolls by segmenting the stationary gates pressing the end faces of rolls to above and below and oscillating laterally the upper stationary gates. CONSTITUTION:The stationary gates which press both end faces of opposed cooling rolls 1 rotating in the directions opposite from each other by cylinder 10, 12 are segmented to upper stationary gates 8 and lower stationary gates 11. The gates 8 are laterally oscillated by means of hydraulic cylinders 13. The solidified matter of a molten metal 4 does not grow on the surface of the oscillating gates 8 under heating 9. The quality in the end parts of the continuous casting billet is thus improved.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent leaking out of molten metal contained in molds through clearances, by continuously introducing molten slag to clearances between the outer circumferential surface of a molten metal supplying nozzle and the inner surface of mold and filling up the clearances always with the slag. CONSTITUTION:When continuous casting of molten steel is performed, by supplying a molten slag from a molten slag supplying pipe 13, clearances between caterpillars 5 and 5 installed as a pair at the right and left sides an another pair at the upper and lower sides to constitute the mold, or between floors of these caterpillars are blocked with a slag layer 17, and thus, intrusion or leaking of molten steel 1 into or from the clearances is prevented. Moreover, the molten slag between the outer circumferential surface of a nozzle 4 and the floor acts as an effective lubricant against the sliding motion of both.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a continuous casting device which enables stable continuous casting without spoiling the characteristic of a billet by the constitution in which stationary gates are oscillatably disposed and the solidified shells formed by the wall surfaces thereof can be stripped as far as possible. CONSTITUTION:This continuous casting device consists of main constituting members including water cooled casting drums 1, 1' for casting a thin billet 3, stationary gates 2, 2' for preventing leakage of the molten metal 4 between the drums 1 and 1' a tundish 5 for supplying the molten metal 4 such as a molten steel at a constant rate, etc. The molten metal 4 is poured into the space formed of the drums 1, 1' and the gates 2, 2' and is cooled by the surfaces of the drums 1, 1'. The solidified shells formed in such a way are united to form a billet 3. Each gate 2 is formed of a refractory material 8 such as SiN and is so constituted that the gate can be preheated from the rear side and can also be heated even during casing operation. The gate 2 has a mechanism for lateral oscillation using a hydraulic cylinder 11. Such gates are pressed under specified face pressure to the end faces of the drums 1, 1' and are moved laterally to strip the solidified materials formed on the surfaces of the gates 2. The stripped materials are carried away downward together with the solidified shells on the surfaces of the drums 1, 1'.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the leakage of molten metal from a hot-water feed nozzle to the outside of a mold by cooling the leading end of the feed nozzle of an endless track type horizontal continuous casting machine to solidify and stick the molten metal thereby forming tongue pieces. CONSTITUTION:In an endless track type horizontal continuous casting machine, water cooled sheet iron shells 12 are provided in the leading end part of a horizontal feed nozzle 4 from a tundish and in the parts thereof in contact with upper, lower endless tracks 5. The shells 12 are cooled by water to cool the molten steel in these parts to below its solidification temp. and to force the molten steel in contact with said parts to solidify and stick, thereby forming tonque pieces 14 by the solidified steel. The clearances between the tread faces of the tracks 5 for forming a mold and the circumferential surface of the nozzle 4 are closed by the tongue pieces 14, and the leakage of the molten metal 1 to the outside of the mold is prevented.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent leaking out of molten steel through clearances, by supplying a slag layer to clearances between the outer circumferential surface of a molten metal supplying nozzle and the inner surface of a mold and by filling up the clearances with the slag layer. CONSTITUTION:A slurry layer 13 is gradually formed by a blowing gun 12 which blows a slurry of powdered slag due to the movement of return way side floor of caterpillars 5 and 5, and the adhering force of powdered slurry layer 13' is increased by the hot air blown out from a hot air dryer 14. The powdered slurry layer 13' is turned from side to side to the going way side with the movement of the floor and heated by flames when it reaches the position of a burner 15. Thus the surface layer part is made to molten state. Under this condition, the layer 13' is brought to the clearance between the outer circumferential surface of head portion 4'' of nozzle 4 and the floor of caterpillars 5 and 5. Therefore, the clearance is filled with the powdered slug layer 13', and leaking out of molten steel contained in the mold through this clearance and be prevented effectively.

The cooling drum 1 is provided with a drum body 11 having a hollow shaft 11a at both side ends and a drum sleeve 10 fitted to the outer periphery of the drum body 1, and many streaks of warm water passageways 30a, 30b extending to the axial center of the drum along the joint face with the drum sleeve 10 at least in the inside of the drum body 11 are formed while separating by a specified distance from each other in the circumferential direction, and cooling water whose temperature is raised by heat exchange at the cooling water holes 22a, 22b of the drum sleeve 10 is led to the warm water passageways 30a, 30b.

SOLUTION: This apparatus is for producing a thin cast piece by supplying molten metal to the moving surface of a cooling body such as a cooling drum while supplying the mixture of absorbent and non-absorbent gases between the cooling body surface and molten metal. The apparatus is constituted such that by forming, on the surface of cooling body, the recess parts so as to overlap each other, adjacent recess parts contact each other with a ridgeline in between, and also a line or point contact of the cooling body surface with molten metal is generated at the projection parts comprising a plurality of ridgelines. Further, the apparatus is provided with a control means for controlling the casting volume per hour by regulating the content of non-absorbent gas in the gas mixture to control calories which shift from molten metal to the cooling body.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a twin roll type continuous casting apparatus, in which the thermal deformation of the water cooling roll can quickly and smoothly be corrected. CONSTITUTION:The thin thickness part 1A is formed near the outer periphery in the width direction of the water cooling rolls 1 in the twin roll type continuous casting apparatus. An annular body 5 is inserted in the space part B between this thin thickness part 1A and a shaft 4. In the inner part of the annular body 6, heated water flowing groove 5a is formed. Further, in the water cooling roll 1, a water supplying passage 1b, water cooling passage 1c and drainage passage 1d are supplied. A space part is arranged between the annular body 5 and the end surface of the water cooling roll 1. The thermal deformation of the water cooling roll 1 caused by the continuous casting is corrected by transmitting the deformation of the annular body 5, which is developed by passing the heated water through the annular body 5, to the thin thickness part 1A.
