      SOLUTION: In a method for casting the cast strip by using the cooling drum 4, an outer layer water passage is arranged in an inner layer part along the peripheral surface of the cooling drum 4 and an inner layer water passage is arranged in the inside of the outer layer water passage. A water temperature controller 24b controls a shell thickness constant by controlling a water temperature adjusting device 21b according to the water temperature with water thermo- meters 22c, 22d and a water temperature controller 24a controls a water temperature adjusting device 21a according to the water temperature with the water thermo-meters 22a, 22b and/or the crown on the cast strip with a thickness meter 23 in the width direction of the cast strip, and in this way, the cast strip having the suitable crown can be produced.
