    • PURPOSE:To provide a rotating electric machine without an auxiliary pole, where output is great and starting property is excellent, by providing, in the same condition, auxiliary grooves for generating magnetic nonconformity with the center of each projection as the boundary, for each of the faces opposed to the magnetic part in each projection of an armature iron core. CONSTITUTION:When current are let flow to windings 4a, 4b, 4c, and 4d, rotating torque is generated by the electromagnetic interaction between the magnetic flux of a field part 1 and the current, and it rotates to the armature iron core 2. Since the widths of main projections 2a, 2b, 2c, and 2d can be taken by the amounts that the auxiliary poles are removed, the output becomes large. When the magnetic field 1 and the center of each projection accord with each other, as for magnetic attraction, difference occurs between right and left by the auxiliary grooves 5a1, 5a2, 5b1, 5b2, 5c1, 5c2 5d1, and 5d2 provided in symmetry, and it produces clockwise torque. In the condition that the current is not let flow, the center of the magnetic field 1 stops at the position slipped a little by the above torque, and the center never accords at start up, so the start-up becomes possible.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for counterweights and ropes to extremely enlarge an effective space used for a building by mounting the primary side coil of a linear motor to an elevator shaft, and mounting a secondary conductor engaged with the coil to a cage to drive the cage. CONSTITUTION:Plural cages 2, 2d are housed in an elevator shaft 1. Each cage is provided with upper guide rollers 21 and lower guide rollers 22 for guiding the cage along rails 5, 6. On the lower part of the cage, a braking device 10 is provided so as to be opposed to the rail. On the wall of the elevator shaft, the primary side coil 30 of a linear motor is arranged, and divided into four sections of 30A-30D. A permanent magnet 40 forming the secondary side of the linear motor is arranged on the side of the cage so as to be opposed to the primary coil of the above linear motor, and divided into four sections of 40A-40D. When the cage is driven by a shifting magnetic field to be elevated and lowered to reach an aimed floor, the braking device 10 stops the cage. Since the need for ropes and counterweights is eliminated, a space used for a building can be effectively utilized.

    • PURPOSE:To miniaturize a device and to reduce the cost of the device by optionally using a miniaturized expensive permanent magnet and a large and inexpensive permanent magnet in accordance with spaces to be occupied in the device to form a lens driving part. CONSTITUTION:When current is allowed to flow into a focus control coil 5, a movable holder 2 is moved in an A direction and the focus of an objective lens 1 is controlled. When current is allowed to flow into track control coils 6a-6d, the holder 2 is moved in a B direction and the track position of the lens 1 is controlled. A ferrite magnet having a small maximum magnetic energy product and a large volume is used for the permanent magnet 7a and a rare earth cobalt magnet having a large magnetic energy product and a small volume is used for the magnet 7b. Respective parts are arranged so that the driving force of the magnets and the coils act on the lens 1 arranged on the centroid of a movable part. Since the expensive and inexpensive magnets are optionally used in accordance with the spaces to be occupied in the device, the device can be miniaturized and the cost of the device can be reduced.
