    • PURPOSE:To achieve higher measuring resolutions of uneven rotation of a rotor of a measuring device, by disposing behind a low pass filter a digital-control band pass filter to control center frequency according to rotation frequency. CONSTITUTION:A reflected light of a rotor 1 varies cyclically at each rotation with the surface condition of the rotor 1 and the reflected light level thus varied is supplied to a low-frequency amplifier 14, an output waveform of which changes cyclically. An output signal of the amplifier 14 is shaped 16 in the waveform via a band pass filter 15 for extracting a rotation frequency to obtain a pulse signal of the rotation frequency. On the other hand, a signal of the reflected light beam from the rotor 1 via a photo detector 6, an AC amplifier 7 and the like is inputted into a low pass filter 13 through a variable attenuator 11. A digital-control band pass filter 17 is arranged behind the filter 13 to control center frequency according to the rotation frequency. This enables the extraction of uneven rotation signals as those of the filter 13 buried in white noises thereby achieving higher measuring resolutions with an improved S/N ratio of a low level uneven rotation signal.

    • PURPOSE:To enable the measurement of the length of a moving object in a non-contact manner, by applying two laser beams to the moving object and by detecting Doppler signals of reflected beams therefrom. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam emitted from a laser unit 7 is split in two by a beam splitter 8, and applied in intersection onto a moving object 1 through transmission optical systems 10a and 10b. Then the wavelength of scattered light from the object 1 bringing forth positive and negative Doppler shifts in accordance with a speed V of the object 1. This scattered light is received by a reception optical system 11 and led to a photodetector 12 to be transduced into an electric signal. There is an alternating signal of a Doppler frequency in this signal. This Doppler signal is amplified 13 and improved in S/W by a frequency tracking unit 14. Then a Doppler frequency proportional to the speed V can be detected as a pulse signal. This Doppler frequency is set in an arbitrary frequency division ratio by a setting switch 16 and subjected to frequency division 15. Then a pulse outputted from a frequency divider 15 turns to be a length measurement pulse outputting a unit length per one pulse. By counting 4 this pulse, the length of the object 1 can be measured.

    • PURPOSE:To directly measure the rotating speed and rotational irregularity of a body of rotation at the same time by adding a means which detects the rotating speed of the body of rotation from periodic level vibration of received light due to the flaw, roughness, etc., of the surface of the body of rotation. CONSTITUTION:Devices 1-3 in a figure are of the same constitution as a rotational irregularity measuring instrument which uses a conventional noncontact optical speed sensor and the rotational irregularity of the body 1 of rotation is found as wow and flutter. Reflected light from the body 1 of rotation varies in level periodically at a period T0 on every turn of the body 1 of rotation owing to the flaw, roughness, etc., of the surface of the body 1 of rotation. The output of a photodetector 6 is amplified by a DC amplifier 15 and the center frequency f0 of a band-pass filter 16 is so adjusted that the indicated value of a level meter 17 is maximum, thereby obtaining a sine wave signal with the period T0 as the output signal. This signal is waveform-shaped by a waveform shaping device 18 and a pulse counter 19 counts pulses or period T0 in time units, thereby measuring the rotating frequency of the body 1 of rotation directly without measuring the radius (r) of rotation.

    • PURPOSE:To attain to enhance resolving power and response from the aspect of speed operation at the time of a low speed, by providing a frequency divider to the output terminal of VCO and enhancing the output frequency of VCO by the frequency dividing ratio times of input Doppler frequency due to the frequency divider. CONSTITUTION:A frequency divider 9m dividing input frequency is provided to the output terminal of VCO9g outputting local frequency tracing input frequency upon the reception of the signal obtained by adding the output signal of a level controller 9i and the output signal of an integrator 9e. When the frequency dividing ratio of the frequency divider 9m is set to 1/N, the frequency divider 9m operates so as to make the output frequency thereof equal to input Doppler frequency fd and, therefore, frequency N.fd high by N times the input Doppler frequency fd is obtained with respect to the output of VCO9g and, if the output of VCO9g is set to a speed operation signal, resolving power can be held even in high speed sampling at the time of a low speed.
