    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine capable of surely continuing stable compressed self-ignition combustion even when a fuel property is largely changed. SOLUTION: This control device of the internal combustion engine capable of compressed self-ignition combustion has a suction air heating means for heating air sucked in a combustion space of the internal combustion engine, a suction air temperature control means for controlling the suction air heating means so that the suction air temperature becomes a suction air temperature control target value set in response to an operation state of the internal combustion engine, a fuel property information detecting means for detecting information on the fuel property from a combustion state of the internal combustion engine, and a fuel replenishment detecting means for detecting fuel replenishment to a fuel tank. When detecting the fuel replenishment to the fuel tank by the fuel replenishment detecting means, the compressed self-ignition combustion is stopped, and information on the fuel property is detected by spark ignition combustion, and the suction air temperature control target value is corrected based on the detected information.
