CONSTITUTION:Reinforcement 11 is made up of a cladding material consisting of steel and aluminum, a steel side of this reinforcement 11 is directed to a side sill inner 12 (made of steel), and an aluminum side to a side sill outer 100 (made of aluminum), respectively, then an upper flange 112 of the reinforcement 11 is interposed between an inner side of the side sill outer 100 and another upper flange 122 of the side sill inner 12 and joined together by means of resistance welding. In addition, a lower flange 111 of the reinforcement 11 is interposed between a lower flange 101 of the side sill outer 100 and a lower flange 121 of the side sill inner 12, and end of a lower panel 13 (nude of a sheet steel) is superposed on an inner side of this lower flange 121 and joined together by means of the resistance welding.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body structure capable of protecting an occupant from being injured by a toe board moving backward to narrow a foot space of the occupant in a vehicle interior.
      SOLUTION: The vehicle body structure includes: a floor panel 12; the toe board 8 extending obliquely upward from a front end of the front panel; a dash panel 6; and a floor tunnel 22 connected to the toe board and extending rearwardly in an anteroposterior direction of the vehicle body on the front panel. The floor tunnel is connected to the toe board so as to be continued to the toe board. The connected part of the floor tunnel and the toe board includes a bent part 24 which is bent into a dogleg shape in a side view. A reinforcement member 30 having one end joined to the toe board ahead the bent part and the other end joined to a side part below the floor tunnel behind the bent part is in the vicinity of the bent part.
